Chapter 4

Riley's pov

After I left the office I decided to go to the mall. Once I arrived there I went straight to Macy's I found many clothes and after about 40 minutes of grabbing clothes I went to the dressing room to try them on. I ended up buying everything that I had tried on, after I finishes changing back to my clothes I went to the register to pay for everything. I started walking and went to the shoe section, I picked up 4 pairs of heel and then went to the register to ask for my size after getting them I tried them on and end up buying them as well. I looked at my phone and notice I've been here for 4 hours and it was now 7pm. I decided to grab a bite to eat and then head home seeing as I had to get up early tomorrow.

Next day

I woke up to the sound if my alarm going off. It was 6:00 perfect time to start getting ready for work. I went to grab a bite to eat and after I wishes I hoped in the shower I did my morning routine, when I finished I went to see what i was going to wear today and picked out black heels with a tight black skirt and a light blue blouse.i did my makeup natural and with that I places my phone inside my bag and grabbed my car keys and I was out the door. I passed my Starbucks and ordered two medium coffee with two sugars and cream I figured I should bring one for brad too.

At work

Once I got there I parked my car and went up the elevator I greeted the woman at the front desk and made my way to Brad's office. I knocked on the door and once I heard him say come In I opened the door. He looked up and smiled at me and I did the same thing . "Hey what brings you to my office so early in the morning, don't tell me your going to quit already?" he asked me I told him "no of course not I just got here, I just came by to give you this" he stood up and grabbed it saying thanks "anytime and why are you here so early it's only 7:30 don't you start working at like 9:00 or something?" "yes but I had some work I had to finish and turn in today in the morning" "well have you finished it already?" "Yes I actually finished just when you walked in" he said. We sat down and started talking about random things well more like getting to know each other more I found out that we're into the same music and we have a lot in common we're like twins or something everything I like he likes too "that is so weird we're into the same things don't you think" he asked me "I was just thinking that, we're like twins or something" we started laughing and that's when someone walked in the room and by the amazing smell of cologne I could tell it was my boss. I looked at my phone and it said it was 7:58. Boy was u glad I wasn't late yet I decided to turn around and look at him and I regretted it immediately. He looked beyond angry and was sending Brad glares as if he was going to kill him or something I didn't understand why and by the looked of it neither did Brad. "Um well It was nice talking to you Brad and I'll um see you later I have to get to work" "yeah me too". I stood up and grabbed my purse and coffee and with that I left Brad's office. Well that was awkward and confusing I'll just ask Brad what that was all about later on but for now i should get to work. I walked into my office and put my things down on my desk I turned on my computer and logged on. Once I was in I heard two noises meaning I had gotten two emails. I checked the first one and it was from Brad apologizing for the way our boss acted earlier and how to make it up to me he was going to take me to luck to this Italian restaurant he loved, I replied back saying not to worry about it and that I would love to go with him seeing as I love Italian food. The second one was from my boss Mr. Bass saying to go to his office now. I grabbed my notepad and a pen and headed to his office. I knocked on this door "come in" he say and I did "you wanted to see me sir" "yes I would like to know why were you flirting and laughing with Brad instead of coming straight to my office?" shock was an understatement of what I was feeling right now how dare he accuse me of such thing and so what if I was that shouldn't be any of this business seeing as that would be my personal business. "I'm sorry but did u hear you right" " I have reason to believe you did seeing as the way you are reaction to my question" "not that it's any of your business If I was or wasn't flirting with Brad ,but why should you care seeing as that would be considered my personal life?" He stayed quite for a while and then Said " well he is my best-friend and you are working for me so I think I should be able to know" " and so what if I was flirting with him" "well I wouldn't allow it because you are MINE and mine only understood?" he yelled omg did he seriously just say I was his or am I imagining things? "excuse me but I'm not your or anyone's but my self do you understand " "we'll see about that and for now if I see you with any other guy besides me your fired so you understand " god I wish I could wipe that smirk off his face he's so arrogant Ughh.
