Part 14

"Hey young boy. I've observed you are very much concerned about my daughter. Looks like you feel so much connected to her. Isn't it?" Said Mr. Singhania.

Abhimanyu- "Hello sir. It's just that she is a brilliant child and a lovely person who is always ready to make everyone feel good about themselves. I don't like seeing her lying like this on a hospital bed with all these equipments. She is meant to be a free bird."

Mr. Singhania- "Such great concerns for my daughter, I appreciate them. So I am really interested in knowing what has been going on between you two."

Abhimanyu-"Sorry Mr. Singhania I didn't exactly get you."

Mr. Singhania- "Look, I have been through this phase too. And my experience says that a teacher never leaves his everything just to make sure his teacher is doing well in the hospital. Of course they do call and ask about wellbeing. But being physically present and showing concern and being tensed is not exactly what they do. So speak up my boy, what's the matter?"

Abhimanyu-"Sir, we have been great friends since past few months. She has been alovely soul who has always encouraged me to give time to my writing passionwhile giving time to my teaching job. I have been supporting her in herdecisions about her studies and she is doing great. I know it is odd to confess it in front of you but for the past few days it seems like I have developed some feelings for her."

Mr. Singhania- "And she? She has feelings for you too?"

Abhimanyu- "I think so sir." In his heart he knew how much Natasha loved him and also that he could not tell everything to her father without discussing it with her.

Mr. Singhania- "You know there is an age gap between you two. Don't you?"

Abhimanyu- "Yes I do, sir. And I really do love her. But I'll never do anything without asking or discussing it with her. It will always be her decision."

Mr. Singhania-"I respect that Mr. Abhimanyu, but she has a lot to do in her career. I know she'll get up and be alright after these few hours under observation. But if she gets into this love and all when will she have the time to build her career?"

Abhimanyu- "I agree to that sir. That's why I said I'll never take a decision or do anything without discussing it with her. And moreover, I will wait for her to make a career and be successful. Then it will be upto her if she still wants me to be in her life. But till then I'll always support her in whatever she wants to do. Also it will be yours and madam's decision too whether I am the eligible right guy for your daughter. But for now I just pray all goes well and she stays healthy after this.

Mr. Singhania- "That's very thoughtful of you. But I think you should now go back to your work. And yes please eat something too."

Abhimanyu- "I'm sorry to disregard you sir, but I am not leaving until I meet Natasha."

Mr. Singhania- "Please Mr. Abhimanyu, I don'twant to create a scene over here, it's my daughter inside. So it's better foryou to leave quietly else I'll not think twice before getting you thrown out ofhere.And please do not contact her until she is perfectly alright and starts coming to school. I don't want her to feel stressful."

Abhimanyu- "Sir please understand she'll feel stressed if she doesn't find me here. We are really good friends and I cannot leave her alone when she needs me the most."

Mr. Singhania- "I don't seem to agree with you. I am here, her mother and Nyra are here. So she is not alone we are with her. And this is the last time I am asking you to leave. So please do."

Abhimanyu unwantedly stepped back. But before leaving he gesticulated Nyra to call him when Natasha wakes up and tell her progress. Nyra nodded.

Time had passed and doctors were here to check Natasha's improvement. She had not wake up yet, but the doctors said she is responding well to the treatment and will son wake up. Natasha's parents and Nyra breathed a long sigh of relief. But soon they had known that their relief wasn't the one going to last long.
