Chapter 4

~John's POV~

John lay in bed, a million thoughts racing his mind at once. 'That boy in the book store,' he said to himself 'is he really my... no there's no way he probably doesn't even like guys.' His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door

"who is it?" John mumbled

"This convo could go two ways!" it was non-other than his bi-sexual friend Peggy.

"Unfortunately, you only have one option in," John joked "and that's through the door!" She laughed and opened the door a tray of freshly baked brownies (which appeared grey to him) and a glass of milk. She placed it in front of him, he thanked her and started nibbling at the brownies. They were having an awkward conversation, about when Peggy liked John, then suddenly John started crying.

"OMG John I didn't mean to say anything to offend you!" Peggy said with guilt coating her voice

"No... It's ok Pegs," he said between tears "those tears weren't my own, it's my soul mate." Peggy gasped forgetting that John had not yet found his soul mate.

"John no don't cry it'll be fine!" John clutched his chest sobbing

"I wish I was there for them..." John soon cried himself to sleep.

~Peggy's POV~

While John was asleep (John lives with the sisters) Peggy asked her sisters how they met their soulmate.

"Well we met at a club..." Angelica stated. Peggy wrote this down as if playing detective Eliza joined in

"We met at chess tournament onetime..." Peggy also took note of this. Then Peggy subconsciously said aloud

"And we met in tech!". Peggy's sisters asked what she was doing...

"No! You can't be serious!" her sisters exclaimed in unison. The thought was that they all met their soul mates doing something they love, so John would most likely find his soulmate through something he loves.

"Hey, remember that boy we saw at the book store?"

"Peggy, we say a lot of boys there..." Eliza was cut off

"What about that boy looking at the Scottish tragedy John was looking at?" Angelica and Eliza gasped, John wasn't acting the same ever since he laid eyes on that boy. The same thoughts flooding both their heads 'Could John really like boys?'

"there was a conversation I had with John once..." Angelica finally said

"he told me he wasn't interested in girls..."

"I had a similar one, he said, 'I'm either never going to find my soulmate or, it'll be a boy'" Eliza added

Peggy simply shrugged and said,

"John told me he was gay after I confessed I liked him." Eliza and Angelica looked back at the youngest, as though she had just shot someone

"Peggy why haven't you told us that John was gay?" Eliza queried

"Well I have told you, but you were too worried about your own soulmate and ignored me!" Peggy said in a bit of a childish voice.

"I have a plan," Angelica stated, "I'm in contact with Adam and Vanessa..." Peggy had interrupted

"what do they have anything to do with John and his soulmate?" Angelica started arguing with Peggy

"that boy..." Eliza, finally, said softly but loud enough to stop Peggy and Angelica's petty argument. "he's living them, isn't he?" Eliza grabbed her phone from her bag and started dialing a number, Vanessa answered

"Hello who is this?"

"hi, my name is Eliza, Angelica's younger sister"

"oh, hello Eliza, I have very limited time right now."

"of course. Do you know if the boy is doing anything at 5pm tomorrow?"

"you mean Alex? No, he isn't."

"can you please tell him to be at the book store at 5pm tomorrow, where he found 'Macbeth'. thank you, bye now." And with that Eliza hung up.
