our town, charlton was now ruled by a killer queen. she murdered our king centries ago but some say she lives on, devouring the youth of others, as young as she once was 100 years ago. eternal life. ive never seen her but the many that have say that her hair is black as a ravens wings and her skin as pale and smooth as porceline her eyes like pools of teal, the most beautiful woman they have ever seen, but also the most evil.
while on my venture through the stone walled village to get some water i looked up at the dark looking castle that stood on the very edge of the cliffs. i always wondered what it would be like to be so rich and powerful that you could have anything in your dreams, katy had that but she used it for evil. our town had gone up in smoke the night she murdered our king it was destroyed and it stayed like that for months until it finally was rebuilt by the villagers. it was never as grand as it once was though. people want to leave to go to a better kingdom but its impossible. the stone brick walls sourounding the cliff make it hard enough but the rough waves that splash onto the cliff walls make it impossible. the ocean sourounding us maps out for as far as you can see if you ran you wouldnt last a day.
my family and i would never even try, if you give no reason for the queen to punish you she might even seem kind. but deep down everyone knows her heart may just be made of stone and as cold as ice, because once a villager walks into those walls they never come out.
