charlottes pov.

often i would wonder what the inside walls of that castle would look like. whether they would be as dark and gloomy as the outside may seeem or if it would be beautiful and full of light.

being sent out of my daydream when a crack of thunder filled my ears i quickly grabbed fresh water and rushed home to help my mother make tea. rushing down all the alley ways until i reached our lonely little house on the other side of town made me think just how much more worse off we could be, some of the villagers have no home they live on the streets begging anyone kind enough or able to give them anything. most deaths here would be from starvation, and the occasional disease but mostly it was because of the lack of food.

stumbling inside i kicked off my boots and made my way into the kithcen where i found my family, mother, father and brother laying on the oak floorboards in large pools of blood. crying out i fell to the ground.
