charlottes pov.

" your highness"  i managed to sqeak

"what is your name?" her voice was as beautiful as she was, i was surprised at how gentle and calm she seemed to be but then again this was the perfect example of the fact that looks could be deceiving.

"erm charlotte"

"well charlotte, i am sorry about your family" she replied sympathetically with a pained expression.

not knowing how to respond i simply nodded maybe she wasnt as cruel as people had described her to be.. maybe she had a heart.

" please allow me to be at your service for the time being, i have my knights looking into who has comitted this terrible crime. please stay here until we know for sure you are safe."

i was surprised at how kind she genuinly seemed to be, she seemed so understanding. i felt unsafe. what if the killer had been really only looking for me? surely they would never try to cross the queens walls there were guards everywhere, they would have to be crazy to pull a stunt like that, but i guess they were psychotic enough to commit murder.

katys pov.

charlotte seemed pained, i could tell she felt uncomftable. she had probobly heard all the little folk tales about me the villagers tell.

"guard escort charlotte to a bedroom, make yourself at home sweetheart."

" thankyou your majesty"

watching charlotte led out of the room, the knight next to me asked whether i needed anything but then left once i glared at him. over the years ive leaned if you want something done you have to do it yourself and that was what i was going to do.
