Loud Sounds

Okay so this one sounds stupid, but let me explain.

People usually get a little jumpy when they hear a loud 'BANG' or 'POP'. But me....oh boy.

If I hear a pop sound, I will literally duck for cover and run. Then I get looked at like a freaking weirdo but it's just natural for me.

I can't handle teachers yelling as well.

One time I was in science and it was around the first few weeks of my amazing experience of middle school, and I was just in class.

The kids wouldn't shut up so my teacher had to yell "GUYS I NEED YOU TO BE QUIET SO STOP TALKING!"

I covered my ears, put my head down and shut my eyes of natural reaction.

My teacher saw this and she apologized a lot and she said that she'll try not to yell again so she doesn't scare me.

Around maybe a week later, she yelled like that again and I did the same thing, so she went into the closet for teachers and got out a pare of headphones for me to wear, which I thought was pretty funny.

But my 4th period class.....Jesus.

The kids for that class just WONT SHUT UP, so the teacher starts yelling which causes me to be scared but she doesn't care if I'm scared or not. She yelled right to my face one time, because I said "this is kind of stupid".

I don't have a problem with people talking loud, but when they shout, yea, I'm a total Scaredy-Kat (see what I did there?) and go into go to the total opposite corner or the room and just STAY there, waiting for them to stop yelling. The same thing with loud noises.

The weird part is, I grew up in New York, and I live in a Puerto Rican house-hold.
