At first, Snow White and Rose Red were afraid of the big brown bear. Then, bit by bit, they became used to him. Before long, they were playing with him and having lots of fun.
For the rest of the winter, the bear was like one of the family. He slept besode the fire each night, and retured to the forest each day.
