Karma (OC)

The following is a description of an OC that I plan to use in my Young Justice stories.

Alias: Karma

Real Name: Karen Graves

Role: Vigilante / Hero

Origin:

As the daughter of the well-repected Senator Thomas Graves, Jr., Karen has lived a fairly sheltered lifestyle. That is until her, her uncle, Joseph Graves, and her brother, Tom, came under fire while giving the press a tour of the Global Advanced Research Facility (GARF) in Gotham...during it's grand opening.

During the attack, she was separated from her uncle and brother and was trapped inside the classified research section of the facility. She thought she was safe, until the automated lockdown procedure initiated and started to remove the air from the room.

In order to survive, she put on an advanced space suit prototype that the engineers were designing for the Martian Colony Project. The suit not only saved her life, but also enabled her to bypass the room's security system and escape the room. With the aid of a Global Marine detachment, she was able to free her uncle and brother from their captors.

Later, when a team of engineers tried to remove the suit, some complications arose. The chest plate and its internal AI monitoring system refused to let go and fought any and all attempts at removal--threatening to end Karen's life if it was removed. Thus, the suit has become a physical part of her anatomy.

Hating how the situation made her feel so weak and powerless, she convinced her uncle to train her in ways of advanced combat techniques when her overprotective father thought she was receiving counseling for the trauma. Eventually, she became a key contributor to S.W.O.R.D. Initiative.

Now, nearly two years later, she lives at an on-campus dormitory at Gotham Academy. By day, she is the high-achieving daughter of a high-achieving U.S. Senator. By night, she is someone else. Feed up with the amount of crime in the city, she takes vegence on the group of criminals that have caused the weak and powerless so much ire and pain by giving them a taste of their own medicine.
