"Mom, I'll be fine," Sebastian argues as he tugs on his luggage.
"Honey, we're just worried about you," She says lightly.
"I'll make you guys proud, I promise," He says. "I'll get you front row seats for my first concert!" He adds jokingly.
New York was big- make that big and crowded. Buildings towered over Sebastian like he was an ant, car horns sounded from every inch of the city, there were tourists, trying to find their way around with travel packs, there were the regular locals, who were either rushing off to work in suits or classy business-wear, and there were the joggers, every few minutes, one would run by, with earphones plugged in and sometimes a dog on a leash.
Sebastian struggled to make his way around. Sometimes asking strangers for directions. He could've gotten a cab, but they were all full and none of them stopped for him. But at last, he finally made it to the Julliard School. He walked through the hallways of dorms and found his room number, he was told his roommate was a sophomore, so he knocked on the door and waited. No one opened, so he reached for the keys which were given to him at reception.
"Hey!" A tall guy walked towards him, he had blue eyes and his hair was short at the back, but the front was slightly longer, like a side fringe. "Sebastian right?" The stranger held out his hand, and Sebastian shakes it awkwardly. "Harry Kane, I believe I will be your roommate." He opens the door and gestures for Sebastian to go in.
"Thanks," Sebastian mutters as he steps into the dorm. There were two separate beds, one at each end of the room, the tables were arranged at the end of each bed, and there was a small set of drawers and a cupboard against the wall.
"So, where are you from?" Harry asked.
"Ohio." Sebastian replied.
"And let me guess, you're a private school boy, yes?"
Sebastian was surprised, "How did you know?" He asked.
"Some might say I'm a telepath, but I say, you're just very easy to read."
Hopefully he can't tell I'm gay. Sebastian thought nervously. Or the fact that I find him smoking hot.
"So, what are you doing here?" Harry asked casually as he flops down on his bed.
"I'm a dancer I guess," Sebastian says.
"A dancer! You've got to teach me sometime, I do drama, but I have to say, I'm hopeless at dancing." He looks at Sebastian. "You know, you should put your stuff down, get used to this space. I've even given you the window."
"Thanks," Sebastian says awkwardly as he places his luggage next to his bed and slides his cardboard box, which contained various things that were precious to him, underneath the bed.
"I say, we've got a week until school starts, I'll show you around the city." Harry jumps off his bed and opens the door. "After you, sir." He grins.
Sebastian walks through the door and gives him a thankful smile.
"You're most welcome, Mr. Smythe." He smiles and shuts the door behind him. Sebastian was starting to see why he was studying drama, every chance he got, the boy would start reprising lines from famous poets and books during their conversations.
Hello, my name is *******.
I hope you liked this chapter, I know it doesn't have a lot to do with the actual storyline of Glee, but I'm going to pretend this is set after season 5, and next chapter (Santana POV), I'm going to add in a lot more references :-)
Please vote and comment suggestions if you liked this chapter!
