Ship: ViktuuriYuri sighed as he entered a café, sitting down. He took deep breaths, his nose and tips of his ears red from the bitter cold outside.
He worked at the café. Well he did 'work' inside the café but he was not a waiter or anything. But he did play his guitar and sing softly for some pocket money.
See, his family had gone poor after their Hot Springs closed down. Neither of his parents could work so it was up to him and his sister to try and get as much money as they can. He only wanted to support his family.
After a few minutes a grey-haired waiter came up to him, smiling.
"Can I get you anything, sir?"
Yuri looked up and smiled back, weakly.
"Just a coffee please. With cream and sugar"
Before the waiter left he paused for a moment. "I just wanted to tell you that I like to hear you sing. Sing louder so others can hear, okay?"
Yuri blushed a slight bit as he looked at the name tag.
"O-Okay, Viktor"
The waiter smiled and picked up his guitar, bringing it over to the stage. He started to set up the stand, chair and microphone, like always. Yuri usually put the mic near his guitar but Viktor set it up so it would be parallel from his mouth, so he could sing and be heard.
Yuri stumbles his way up to the stage and Viktor smiles, almost as if he was in a trance.
"Viktor!" Someone from the kitchen yelled.
"Oh! Right." Viktor walked off and started to serve drinks and little pastries to people sitting down.
Yuri started to strum his guitar and clear his throat. He looked anxious as he started to play the introduction to his original song.
Yuri softly began to sing and Viktor stumbled back, excited to watch him.
Yuri's voice was like cream. Cream and Sugar. It was smooth and beautiful and the perfect melody to his strumming pattern. He always closed his eyes while singing because he did not like seeing the eyes that were on him.
After he finished his song, few people clapped as most were consumed in their computers, books or admiring their coffee and scenery. Viktor clapped the loudest.
The waiter ran up to the singer and cupped his hands in his.
"That was wonderful! You should sing more."
"T-Thanks..."
"So... I get off work in an hour... I was wondering if I could bring you somewhere?"
Yuri blushed at the waiters question. He replied with a shaky yes and Viktor was overjoyed.
"I'll see you soon then!"
He went off back to work as Yuri sat down at a table, sipping his coffee. A little heart was made out in foam on top. He smiled and waited...
••••
It was four pm and Viktor sighed and took off his apron. He rushed over to Yuri and grasped his cold hand. He strolled our the door and Yuri shivered as they stepped into the frigid cold. Viktor quickly took of his jacket and placed it over the boy's shoulders, making his face go red.
"S-So..." Yuri said uncertainly.
"Yes, Yuri?"
"Where are w-we going?"
"Oh just a restaurant. I ordered some chinese food that we need to pick up. I bough enough for you, me and your family!"
Yuri smiled, knowing that his family would enjoy some chinese food.
"Thank you, Viktor!"
He smiled and Viktor kissed Yuri's cheek slightly, making the boy go a rose pink.
"No problem."
