The Nightmare 1

Part 11

*A  quick heads up:

This entire part is just going to be about Kayla and Trevor. Also this is a time lapse between the group continuing their journey through the forest.

Kayla's POV:

It was 8:30 when Trevor had woken up. Then, as he woke up he was saying, "W.. where am I?" as if he hadn't been with us all last night, at first I thought he was playing around and then he said, "What am I doing here?" I knew he wasn't playing around I asked, "Don't you remember last night?" he shook his head and said, "No" I hadn't thought much of it, and I explained.

Trevor's POV:

I had no clue where I was, what was strange was that I didn't remember anything from last night, I questioned a little. It was 9:35 when all of a sudden I had a flashback of a weird image that I didn't recognize, I then saw something that Kayla mentioned from last night, and then, the images went away. I didn't mention it to Kayla or the others, thinking it wasn't a big deal. I decided to go to the waterfall.

Kayla's POV:

I saw Trevor walk to Bridal Veil Falls, so I decided to follow him, as I caught up to him, I saw him with his headphones on, he hadn't noticed me since I was walking behind him, and then when he turned his head he caught a glimpse of me and gasped, as his headphones slipped off and almost hit the floor but I caught them, he said, "Kayla, you scared me half to death!" I quickly apologized. Then, we continued on to the waterfall. I honestly went with him because I felt bad for not hanging out with him much, and constantly blowing him off every time he asked if we could hangout.

Trevor's POV:

To be honest, I was kind of glad that Kayla came along, it had been a while since we got to hang out together, alone. As me and Kayla were walking, out of nowhere, I felt an excruciating  pain on my lower left leg, as if it was being strangled. As the pain flowed through my leg I fell to the ground, unable to walk on it. I looked at my leg, and saw nothing but a mere scratch on my leg, I didn't think that was the cause of the pain, it felt like a rope or something was tied tightly on my leg, but there was nothing there. After a while the pain went away, so me and Kayla continued to the waterfall. When we arrived at the beautiful waterfall, I saw Kayla fidgeting with her bracelet, in fact, the bracelet I gave her a couple of years ago. I knew something was up, because she always fidgets with her bracelet when she is nervous or something is bothering her. I asked her, "You okay?" she nodded her head, but I knew by the way she nodded, she had something on her mind. I said, "what's on your mind?" she then said, "I... I'm sorry..." I asked, "For what?" she said, "For not hanging out with you as much..." I didn't say anything, she said, "I feel bad for all the times I have blown you off when you ask to hang out with me." I asked her, "Why have you been blowing me off?" she answered, "I..." She paused, then I asked, "It was because of Chris... wasn't it?" she looked down ashamed and nodded, I asked, "What about Chris?" she said, "He... he told me to stop hanging out with you...or he wouldn't be my friend anymore" That was when my heart skipped a beat, I felt like I just got punched in the heart.

Kayla's POV:

I told Trevor about why I kept blowing him off, I knew from the second I told him, that I had hurt his feelings. He had walked away, and put his hoodie over his head. I ran up to him, and wrapped my arms around him begging for his forgiveness, I said to him, "I'm so sorry Trevor!" I honestly felt completely horrible. The truth.. I cared about Trevor so much more than Chris, not to mention I have known him for 7 years, when I only knew Chris for 4 years. I told Trevor, "I am truly sorry, I care so much about you, I...." I didn't finish my sentence, and Trevor asked, "You what?" I answered, "I... I like you Trevor... and not just as a friend.." he smiled and said, "Wow! You do?" I nodded. Then, he grabbed my hand and said, "I forgive you Kayla... but what you said hurt" I nodded and said, "Yeah.. I know.. and I am sorry, I am your friend no matter what?" he smiled and agreed.

Trevor's POV:

I was so surprised when Kayla told me she liked me, I'm sure you can probably already guess that I like Kayla as well, I do, indeed. She is very sweet, and pretty, and she isn't like other girls, she is different in a very good way. I wasn't sure what to do now, there was a moment of awkward silence, I grabbed Kayla's hand and took her into a little cave right behind the waterfall, we saw a bunch of cool things in there, we saw beautiful assortments of jewelry and shiny stones. I saw a pretty necklace with a shiny gold chain and it had what looked like a real diamond it had the letter K carved into it, I looked over at Kayla who was looking at some shiny rocks and then put the necklace around her neck, she looked at it and smiled, she then said, "Wow! This is beautiful!" I then made a cheesy comment, "Yeah it is beautiful... just like you are." she giggled a little and then I saw her start to blush as I brushed her hair out of her face, she said, "Aw, thank you!" I nodded my head and said, "Well, you know that wasn't a compliment, I am just speaking the truth." She smiled.

Kayla's POV:

We then started to head back to the rest of the group, who were surprisingly still there.
