Sunny and Sea

Well, okay, so there were three of brothers: Land, Sea, and Sky. Then there are three descendants: Liberty, Sunny, and Starling. You have already learned about Land and Liberty. You are about to learn more about Sunny and Sea in this chapter.
Sunny wasn't at all sunny. She was the leader of an army that was trying to defeat the Dark Lord, Obliteration. Obliteration had an army, full of flying demons and underwater creatures. Their armies were equally matched, and Sunny's had some minor gods, like Pizzari and Sodania, but not all of them could fly or swim, so they had to travel on foot. Sunny's army was traveling after their last defeat, in which Obliteration and his army flew to South America to wreak more havoc. I know this isn't staying in America, but Sunny, who was determined to, well, obliterate Obliterationa, went after him. They got to the Carribean Sea, and Sunny said," Well, that's a problem. We'll just have to circle around it. Come on! Back up!"
But someone had other plans.
"If you would like to pass, you may. But, under one circumstance."
Sunny slowly turned around to face Sea.
"And what might that be?" asked Sunny, slightly annoyed.
"Shall we introduce ourselves first? Alrighty, then! I am Sea. I can posses any sea, just like I did this one," Sea said as he pointed to the empty crevice where the Carribean Sea used to be.
"And who might you be?" he asked Sunny.
Sunny replied, determined to slip past him with," I am Sunny, goddess of the Sun, and I can burn almost any living thing, including you. If you won't let us pass, I will just obliterate you, like I will Obliteration after you. So if you could just step aside...."
"It's you that keeps drying up my seas! I may regret what I am about to say, but you are just talking nonsense! Nothing can burn me! Anyways, my circumstance," Sea said, grabbing one of Sunny's hands," is that you come back after you are done with whatever you are doing, and live with me underneath the sea, because you are the most beautiful person I have ever seen, and it would be a waste if you went off and married some dumb mortal."                      But Sunny had other plans.
"I will come back as long as you help us. Don't let anyone pass besides us. And if we are fighting near a sea, please, please, PLEASE distract the enemy in some way. Then, and only then, will I come and live under the sea with you. Now let us pass. Now."
     What Sunny didn't say is when she would come back, but Sea agreed immediately and let them pass. When they got to South America, no one and nothing was there. Obliteration had destroyed everything because, well, obliterating something is destroying everything. Well, anyways, they learned from one smart farmer who lived underneath the ground that Obliteration went from South America to Africa. In between South America and Africa, there is the Atlantic ocean. Once they had reached the Atlantic, Sunny said,"Well, we are doomed. We wouldn't have won anyways. Let the African gods handle this one. We would have been able to cross it If it was a sea, but nevermind. Move out!"
    Sunmyheard a laugh over her shoulder. The Atlantic Ocean began shrinking and soon became a man.
    "You didn't think that my domain was just the sea, did you? Well, I'm only called Sea because who wants to be called Water, or even Body of Water? I didn't. I will let you pass it you promise me again that you will become my wife when you are done with this...stuff."
      And so Sunny promised again that she would become Sea's wife, but again left out when. He let them pass again and they finally met Obliteration and his army. They battled for eleven days and eleven nights. The minor god, Chopstickrana died and the major demon, Taxes was born. Sea helped out in as many ways as He could, and finally Sunny's army won.
     They celebrated for nine days, then went back to America. The waters parted for them again, and Sunny went back to her regular routine. After a while though, Sea went to find her and said,"I thought that you promised to live under the seas with me. Why aren't you there yet?"
     "I said I would eventually. I never said when. So leave me alone."
     Sea, however, was so mad that he started storming right where Sunny was, which happened to be Florida. Sea at that moment became the world's first hurricane.
    Sunny was also mad, but for a different reason. She glowed so bright that you wouldn't have been able to tell who was who, even if you were a thousand miles away, which was how far their fight had taken them. They battled and battled and battled some more, but they were so equally matched that the only damage they did was that of the land around them. Eventually, however, Sea cornered Sunny and she backed up a little to much and fell right into the sea. She gave up and I stead kissed Sea, weighed surprises Sea so much that he, too, gave up and eventually they had fallen to the bottom of the sea, where they still are now, with a palace and a whole society of glowing merpeople. They had a daughter named Starling, who we will be talking about very soon, and lived happily ever after, guiding ships in the right direction and sinking men who have tried to find Atlantis.
