A/N: Jeez it's about time I continued this. There's a POV change near the end and I just want to clarify that I hate doing that and that I try to use it sparingly in my writing.

I wandered in the kitchen aimlessly, yawning every now and then. My feet dragged across the floor as I made my way to the fridge, scanning it for the fifth time for something I felt like eating. My stomach growled at me, sounding like a lion compared to the otherwise silent morning. Gently letting the fridge door shut, I heard soft knocking at the door.

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion, wondering who could possibly be at the door this time of morning. I made my way over to the door, and pulled it open. Standing outside was a brunette in a green hoodie, who I recognised as Edd, my next door neighbor. I've never really talked to him and his roommates before, and I didn't know him nearly at all. Why is he here then? I thought, my confusion deepening. Although I have to admit, seeing him up close, he was pretty cute.

"Um...hi!" he greeted shyly, "(Y/N), right?"

I nodded slowly, still puzzled.

"Soo....I was going to make pancakes for my roommates and me this morning....but uh..." he fiddled with his fingers in embarrassment, looking down, "I kind of don't have any eggs."

"You need eggs?" the corners of my mouth twisted upwards in amusement. He looked up again.

"Y-yeah! I'm so sorry to bother you this early in the morning!" he apologised quickly. I smiled at him politely.

"Nah it's fine," I reassured him, opening the door more, "Here, you can come inside while I grab them."

I began to walk towards the kitchen, Edd coming in and closing the door behind him. I opened the fridge and grabbed a few eggs, then closed the fridge and returned to where Edd was standing awkwardly.

"Here you go," I held out the eggs to him. He grabbed them from my hands, and carefully placed them in his hoodie pocket.

"Thank you!" his eyes lit up. I gave him a warm smile, thinking about how adorable he was. Suddenly, his mouth turned downward in thought.

"Can I ask you something?"

"And that's how you make pancakes!" I brushed my hands off while looking down proudly at the delicious looking pancakes I had just made. Edd looked at me gratefully.

"Thanks for teaching me how to make pancakes!" he laughed, a hint of embarrassment in his voice, "Why don't you join us for breakfast?"

"Sure!" I accepted his invitation. Soon enough, I got to meet his roommates as we all sat around the table, enjoying my tasty work of art. After a while of chatting and eating, his roommates went back to their rooms to do whatever they do, leaving Edd and me alone in the kitchen.

"Thanks for letting me eat here," I thanked him, my cheeks turning a light pink as I grinned at him. Edd scratched the back of his head, returning the expression.

"Well, you wouldn't have been able to if you hadn't taught me how to make pancakes," he chuckled. Behind him I spotted a small notebook and pencil on the counter.

"You wouldn't mind if I used that really quick, right?" I gestured to the notebook and pencil. Edd nodded, and I walked over and wrote something down in the corner of the paper. Walking up to Edd, I kissed his cheek, his face turning red.

"I should probably go home, but maybe we should hang out again sometime!" I suggested. I moved over to his front door and opened it, spinning around to give him a small wave before I left, "See ya'!".

(3rd person POV)

Edd curiously walked over to the counter where the notebook sat, and took a quick glance at it. Reading the small writing in the corner, he smiled. Not only did he learn how to make pancakes, but he also learned his cute neighbor's number.
