Stay Alive (inspirational)

This is a letter I wrote for anyone who is suicidal. Trigger warning that is kind of obvious: talks about suicide, but it's not graphic or in a condoning way. The whole letter is essentially me saying "don't do it." If you are suicidal or know someone who is, here you go. This is for you.

I love you.
I just want to start out by saying, I love you. So so so much. More than you can ever know.
I wish I could take all your pain and take it upon myself. But I can't.
Your friends love you.
I know it's hard to believe sometimes. It feels like you're fighting your brain just trying to believe it. But it's true.
You light up someone's world. I don't know who, but I guarantee there is someone out there, that your very existence lights up their world.
You are amazing.
Think of who you love. I'm sure there's someone. Or many someones. You love them, despite and because of their flaws, right? Well, you've got to love yourself like that too. And I know that's a lot to ask of you right now, but you've got to try, love.
They, your friends and family, love you, along with all your flaws.
Think of a time you helped someone, whether it be something huge or something small. Think of when you helped someone through a tough time. Let people help you.
I know it's really hard to be strong all the time for both yourself and everyone else. So let go. Tell someone, go and cry on someone's shoulder. They love you, they won't mind.
Don't leave them. Please, don't leave them. They love you far too much for you to leave.
All they want, all I want, is for you to grow old. For you to live a happy and fulfilling life. I want that for you.
But you will never achieve that in death.
Don't give up, love.
Suicide. That word we've been avoiding. It isn't the answer. I've learned that. But you haven't. Not yet anyway. Learn from me, darling. Don't try it. It isn't worth it.
You want to be happy. You think that death will make you happy. But it won't. It won't help you at all.
I want for you to be happy. Your friends and family want you to be happy. We all want it so so so badly.
You are so special to someone. To me.
You are NOT a burden.
You are strong.
I CARE.
I love you. Your family loves you. Even if some of them don't, I bet if you really try, you can name at least one family member who does.
Did you promise someone you wouldn't kill yourself? Don't break that promise to them.
They need you.
Your family, your friends, they need you.
The world needs you.
The world needs your smile, your laugh, your sense of humor, your sense of dress, YOU.
Stay alive for me.
Stay alive for your family.
Stay alive for your friends.
But not only that.
Stay alive for yourself.
Stay alive for the little reasons.
Like watching the sunset, or watching the sunrise.
Or maybe to hear your favorite song again.
To get to go to a bonfire with your best friend.
Stay alive for your pets. They'd be so confused and sad if you left.
Stay alive so you have the chance to blow bubbles.
So you can get married to a wonderful woman or man someday.
So you can have children and watch them grow.
Cookies, the sound of rain on a tin roof, crunchy leaves, laughing, smiles, seeing rainbows, building sandcastles, fulfilling your dreams, finding out what your dreams are, making incredibly weird but incredibly amusing inside jokes with your friends and family, graduation, watching YouTube videos, food, money to buy your favorite things, scented candles, the beach, forests, fuzzy blankets, long walks, singing, dancing, glow sticks, prom, moving out, traveling, going on a road trip with your best friends, falling in love.
And so much more.
These are a just a few of the hundreds of thousands of reasons to stay alive.
Just take it one day at a time, love.
You'll be alright.
I love you.
You've got this.
You can do it.
I believe in you.
