SAM POV
I watched my sister sleep.
All those times I was watching over her.
All the times she cried.
All the those days she'd get whipped.
I couldn't just barge in and teach a lessons to ours so called uncle.
I had to control my anger.
It'd be a easy kill for me, but I wanted him to feel all the pain he caused my sister.
Yes I've been an ass for not doing anything.
But at the same time I couldn't actually do anything.
The only times I could watch her was at night. The only chance I got to.
I didn't even tell Caine that I had a sister. Or that she was Human.
And knowing him, he mind linked me:
Where are you?
I had left the territory a hour ago. So I'm sure that he'd get worried.
I'm in town
I replied back.
Doing.....?
He asked.
I felt like snapping at him but I couldn't because after all he was the alpha. Technically my alpha.
Grabbing food.
I answered back.
Your at the Chinese restaurant?
He asked.
Yes I am. And yes I will get some food too.
I promised.
You better.
Was his short and thank you reply.
Your welcome.
Was my final answer before disconnecting him from my mind.
I directed my gaze back to my sister once again.
She was tossing around. I heard her whimpering from here.
Thanks to my werewolf hearing.
I heard a car driving in the garage. Must be my stupid uncle coming back.
From here I could see that he was talking on the phone.
I paid no attention to him before diverting my eyes back to my sister.
I saw her wide awake and a fear look on her pretty face.
I couldn't shake off the feeling that something bad was going to happen tonight.
I didn't want to see her like that.
The urge to protect was so much.
I was having a battle with myself.
I wanted to go in there and hold her in my arms.
I always wanted to do that, and every time it was getting worse and worse to hold myself back.
There was just a dam window separating us.
Just a glass.
These are one of the moments I felt really helpless.
I couldn't give my sister one thing. One thing that she'd wish for, one thing I promised her.
Happiness.
A small payment for leaving her, well more like deserting her.
Just as I was about to leave because I couldn't bear to watch her face anymore, a red sports car stopped right infornt of my uncles house.
as a my uncle came out of his car, a guy that was wearing all black, that looked like he was in his mid thirties walked out.
They started talking to each other.
I tried to listen but I could only pick up bits of their conversation.
I silently came down the tree I was in and tried to listen to them against.
As I was walking towards them I heard one sentence that made my blood boil. Or more like multiple sentences but the last one was the one that got me really angry.
"When is she turning eighteen?" Asked the creepy guy.
"She's turning eighteen tomorrow" my uncle said.
"Oh. Ok. What was her name again and when could I get her?" The guy asked again.
I had a hunch that this was about my sister, but I wanted my suspicion to be be true.
Just to prove my point, our douchbag of an uncle answered back saying-
" Her name is Demi Hays and you can get her by Sunday. After two days."
