Matthew

Foggy wasn't happy. His heart rate was elevated, his hands were clenched, and Matt could feel his frustration flowing off of him in waves. But the way he was breathing just made him seem... sad. The trial of Melissa Person went better than expected, but only because Foggy had a copy of the files that Matt didn't sort out the night before, it was obvious now, Matt messed up.

"Why" Foggy trudged over to Matt's side, his voice stern, loud and filled with contempt "Why do you do this to me, to Karen?" Some of the court officers turned their head, Matt wasn't sure if they were looking at them but he knew someone would soon if Foggy kept speaking that loud.

"Could we talk about this somewhere else" Matt whispered. The area was bustling with the staff of the court, he didn't want anyone overhearing anything him and Foggy discussed.

"Oh come on Matt this isn't right, this isn't healthy anymore!" His voice was rising, Matt could hear his frustration, his worry, he also seemed to have been eating an early lunch.

"Please Foggy?" Foggy shook his head.

"Fine," He pursed his lips "but don't think for one second that this conversation is over. Not one second!" Foggy marched of around a corner, his footsteps were hard and heavy hitting the ground, Matt could hear him breathing harshly as he walked down the hall. He felt bad. Truly bad. It was one of those feelings where he knew he did wrong on his friends part but he still felt like he did the right thing, it was a horrible mix of guilt and fluster. He tapped his fingers on his cane, he would talk to Foggy, but there were more pressing matters at the moment. The witnesses were all kept in the same room, which happens to be the one Matt was standing outside of, he wasn't really paying attention, him thinking of Foggy and all that, plus they were acting normal for witnesses, nothing unusual. Fidgeting, increased heart rate, and a lot of anxious boredom, Matt listened in, all of the sudden something occurred to him, one of the subjects was sitting on a chair in the corner with an extremely calm heartbeat, but the real thing that stuck out was what he was saying on the phone.

"No. The problem was dealt with and so far no one has had any issues with it." Matt could hear someone on the other end talking harshly and quickly, the line was scattered and fuzzy so it was hard to hear what the other person was saying.

"What do you mean! I'm fixing the problem! If you ask me I sorted this out mighty fine. What? NO, I'm here as a witness you-" he was interrupted by the door swinging open.

"The district attorney calls the witnesses to court" the man then turned around to Matt "You're on in 5, sir" Matt was a little frustrated that he wouldn't be able to hear the end of that conversation, especially since he doubted the man would give any more information as to the context of that conversation, but then again, duty calls.

Matthew paid close attention to the man on the phone, he wasn't sure what he looked like, but his voice was extremely recognizable, deep, with a scratchy tone, that was good, but what really gave him away was his scent. Oh, it was horrendous, he wasn't sure that others could smell it too but they seemed to notice it slightly. It was like a mix of sulfur and gasoline, Matt could feel his nose burning at the strong smell. Although he wasn't going to let the judge see his discomfort, it could be the end of the case. Foggy, Karen, Melissa Person, and Matthew stood behind the table, the district attorney was just finishing the murder accusation of Melissa, she was relying heavily on the timestamps with the other proof just supporting that, Matt knew Foggy could work with that (being the resourceful person he is).

"Calling the witness to testify" The Judge watched as the man on the phone walked on to the podium. Matthew was listening intently on what he had to say, apparently, the name he was under was 'Dalan Finley', he stated that Melissa was obviously the murderer for reasons Matt guessed he didn't care to explain. His words were quick and he seemed like he needed to be somewhere, fast.

"And who are you exactly?" One of The police guards seemed to have noticed his anxiety, he wasn't allowed to ask but Matt was somewhat glad he did. There was something itching at the back of Matthew mind, something was wrong, something was happening, why was that feeling so prominent yet again? Then the ticking of a pipe bomb echoed through Matt's mind.
