The accident

At the hospital

About an hour later

Kuroko was sitting in the waiting room of the hospital, head in his hands, tear marks on his face, waiting for news of how Kagami was doing.

Suddenly a doctor came into the room and Kuroko looked up, praying it to be for him.

"Mr Kuroko Tetsuya?" The doctor said, looking around the room for the boy. "Here" Kuroko said, startling the doctor due to his lack of presence.

"This way please" the doctor said walking away. "O-okay" Kuroko spoke quietly. When they got to the room Kuroko could already feel the tears forming again.

He walked in to see Kagami lying on the hospital bed, head bandaged, asleep. Kuroko was reassured by this and took a sigh of relief. 'Thank goodness!' He thought, tears of joy rolling down his face.

"Mr Tetsuya, could you please take a seat? I have something i need to talk to you about." The doctor said, gesturing to the chair. Kuroko did as he asked and sat down, fists clenched, waiting for the news.

"It's sad to say this but, Kagami is in a coma. We don't know how long this will last but I promise you that we are working as best we can to help him."

These words hit Kuroko like bullets from a gun. "W-what?" He muttered "n-no! T-this can't b-be possible!" Kuroko spluttered through his tears that were streaming violently down his face. "We don't know how long this will last, or if he will even wake up." The doctor added.
