" Hey baby, I just

realized something.

I don't really love you, baby.

So buh-bye hun."

Sydney Gotham's Weird Lyrics Out of Nowhere

The look of happiness that he gave me could probably knock out a row of women; it was that cute.

"We shall leave immediately. Pack all your essentials, and we shall leave shortly," he says, all business-like.

"Wait, just like that? We just up and leave? To Hell, just like that?" I ask, confused.

"But, of course," he simply says and walks away to his temporary room.

Meanwhile, I'm standing surprised and very much bemused as to what's going on to my life.

I'm going to Hell.

Me.

Damn, I'll be honest, I never saw that one coming.

I shake my head and walk to my room where I tug out a travel bag from somewhere deep inside my closet.

I pack some sweatpants( I don't care, I like them) and the essentials: toothbrush, sanitary items, lots of soap, cellphone charger(do they have signal in Hell?). As an afterthought, I open my draw and take out a pack of biscuits and carefully place it along with the rest of my clothes.

Something tells me I'm going to be seeing a lot of them dogs in the Underworld.

I stand in front of the mirror and survey my reflection. A disheveled, brown haired woman stares back at me and I notice how tired I look.

You ought to feel tired when you had to face so many crazy things in one day. I straighten my tee and tie my hair into a loose braid. I ponder calling up Mission High School to inform them that I won't be coming in for a LONG time. I pick up the cordless and do the same, concocting a vague story about a sick relative and death and flowers, and cut the call before they ask too many questions.

A knock comes at my door and I open it to find Hades standing there, in all his toga glory. He's wearing the very same toga that I found him in yesterday. He looks so comical that I fight an urge to giggle.

"Are we ready to leave?" he asks.

I nod before asking, " So, listen. As weird as everything around me is right now, what guarantee do I have that I will return back to my lovely home unscathed and more importantly, alive? I mean, I am going to Hell, after all," I say, voicing a thought that had been nagging me for a while.

Hades gives me a small smile and says, " I assure you that you will be completely out of harm's way as long as you stay in my palace. Everything should be sorted out soon enough that you will not have to worry about having to stay there for a very long time. I promise."

He says it with so much conviction and sincerity that a part of me almost died there. This man right here, is truly wonderful.

I gather a deep breath and say, "Okay. Let's do this."

I take my bag and walk out of the room and towards the front door. I tun around to notice Hades sill standing at the entrance to my room with a confused expression on his face,

"What? Well, come on then, we can't just stand there. Let's move," I say, pointing to the front door.

"Where are you going?" he asks.
