Seeing the cruel and malicious look take over his face is the most painful thing to have ever witnessed. Who would have ever thought that a sweet, innocent man/God could be hiding within him such a terrible monster?
I close my eyes and pray silently, hoping for some saving grace in the midst of the chaos; something to save my poor soul.
His eyes grow darker with every step he takes towards the bed. He reaches the edge and looms over me, an evil smirk marring his handsome face. I gulp and look away.
This is it, the end.
My pointless existence has finally drawn--
"Your Majesty?" comes a meek voice from the entrance of the room, interrupting my thoughts. I jerk my head and find a young boy, probably at the age of eighteen standing there wearing a worn out tunic and an expression to match.
"What?" growls Hades, clearly annoyed at being disturbed.
The boy gulps and says, "There...there seems to b-b-be a prob-blem at the Fields of Punishment, Your Majesty."
"Bother somebody else, I'm busy you senseless fool!"
The boy looks frightened beyond words, but manages to say, "No, Your Majesty, it is very urgent. Please come take a look."
Watching the scene in front of me, I'm only thinking one thing: Please leave.
Hades sighs in frustration. "Fine. Move, you brat," he spits and exits the room, pushing the boy against the door while doing so.
I slump back against the bed in relief . I need to get out of here. Soon.
"Er miss?" comes the boy's voice from beside the door. I lift my head and look at him.
"You need to leave this realm, miss. Hades is a cruel man."
I look at him in surprise. "But, how do I get out of this place?"
"Mother Persephone arranged the whole plan, miss. I am to take you out of the palace to the Fields of Asphodel, where Lord Hermes will meet us. He will take you back to your realm, miss," he says with a proud glint in his eyes.
My eyes, on the other hand start overflowing like a waterfall, happy that I'll be able to leave and sad about everything else. Wasting no time, I jump put of the bed and reach his side.
"Lead the way."

Getting out of th palace seems harder than I thought it would be. Apparently, everyone's been given orders specifically to ensure I was still in my room, save for the boy who came to my rescue.
Once I was out of the room, the boy guided me through a long corridor with the walls painted while, and into a room which I assumed to be the kitchen. It was the biggest kitchen I'd ever seen.
There were rows and rows of shelves lining the wall, containing every single utensil known to man and God alike. The stoves were filled with pots and pans, bubbling away to glory and the sweet smell of food made me pause a bit. But I soon recovered and we were out through the door that led to outside from the kitchen and now I'm standing in the backyard of the palace.
At first, the entire scene takes me by surprise and I stand dazed, eyeing the purple sky with awe. It's only then does it really strike me that I'm in the Underworld. I'm in Hell.
The boy tugs on my arm, signalling that we can't stay here for much longer but I shush him. There was nobody here anyway.
The grass I'm standing on is properly weeded and looks dewy fresh. I turn around to have a look at the palace and gasp at the enormity of it. Huge doesn't even begin to describe the mansion is front of me. I lost count of the number of windows after the twentieth one.
