"Aurelia, wake up. It's time for you to get ready for school." My mother walked into my room. I groaned and buried my head under my pillow. "I don't feel well mom." I mumbled.
"Get up honey. You have no future without an education."
"One day isn't going to ruin my chances to get into a good college."
"You never know. Now get up, or I'm going to drag you out of that bed."
"Ugh.." I practically rolled out of my bed.
"Moan and groan all you want Aurie, you're going to school today."
"But mom.."
"But nothing." I was interrupted. "Get your butt up and get dressed. Now." My mother's voice commanded before I heard her footsteps leaving my room.
I threw the blanket off of me and laid it onto the bed neatly. I then walked to my bathroom and took a shower.
When I finished, I put my makeup and bright colored clothes on for the day. I winced in the mirror as I brushed my blond hair into a high ponytail.
I hate looking like this. I hate being something I'm not.
If it was up to me, I'd put on baggy sweat pants, and a comfy sweatshirt. Not white skinny jeans and a bright pink sweater.
But it's not up to me. Not if I want to keep this reputation.

I walked into the school and was bombarded with, "Hey Aurelia!" or "You look really pretty today!"
To which I had to turn around and respond with, "Thanks!" and a smile.
A smile that I've worked so hard to perfect.
"Hey babe!" A male said as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and kissed my cheek.
"Hey Duncan." I responded with a bright smile.
We walked down the hallway until we reached my locker. Duncan kissed me and said, "I'm gonna go talk to the guys, okay?" I nodded.
"I'll see you at lunch, right?" He asked.
"Sure thing." I stood on my tippie-toes and kissed him on the cheek. He walked away and in the distance I could see him walk up and do that manly handshake thing with a group of guys.
The football team to be exact.
That's right. Duncan is the head quarter back on the football team. And guess what? I'm the cheerleading captain. I'm supposed to be filled with pep and team spirit or whatever.
But fortunately, I'm a really good actor.
