When fate rests in your palms

Chapter 5

My breath caught in my throat as I blankly stared at the lifeless body of my team mate. I stiffled a sob and just formed crystals in my hand and shot downwards, the grownd glowed with white, red and blue. Xerox came besine me and I stopmed on the ground, huge spikes of white, blue and red, shot up to each shadow, impaling each one, Nick was being protected by Nathan whilst me and Xerox usued our joint power to create a huge wave of crystals, my and Xerox's eyes glowed either Red or Blue depending which eye it was. I levitated up and my white hair flew up around me, I let out a yell and clapped my hands together, Xerox was in his human form standing behind me, facing the wave which I was controling, he created a shield and I yelled again as the wave swept over us and smashed onto the alive shadows. The crystal wave cackled, sending out sparks, once it was done I felt light headed and fell to the ground...

I awoke on a bed, "You okay?" Nick asked me from the chair across the room.

"Y-yeah, im okay" I said forcing a small smile. There was a shifting on my legs and a white cat walked to me. "Heya Xerox" I smiled.

"Flix, great danger is coming?"

"What is it?" I asked.

"A demon of shadows, he is more powerful than the rest, he knows where you are" he said.

"Okay buddy, thanks, I'll sort it" I smiled then patted his head, "Nick, we've got a problem rising, we've gotta sort it, now" I said getting up and looking down af my dirty outfit, "This won't do..." I mumbled then brought my hands up, Crystals covered me then dissapeared, leaving me in a new outfit, I had a top which was long sleeved, the chest and  back were white, a black skull was on my front and the sleeves were black and white striped, the top was anything but baggy and had red lace going down my sides, tying up at the bottom like two small bows on either side. I had black skinny jeans with whiteish silver studds going partway down the oughterside of my right leg and black combat boots with white laces.

I smiled and walked to a laptop pulling up various files. Being 15 I had completed some of my GCSEs, ICT being one of them.

I looked at a news report, "Okay, were needed in... Birmingham. There's a larger attack going on that the Army are trying to hold off, the USA are in need of help aswell, if we split up we can cover both, the one in New York looks a tad harder, there is a huge shadow spider, its wrecking half the city, you and Nathan will telleport there, I'll sort out Birmingham and see if I can help you guys after, what do you think?" I asked him.

"Sounds like a plan Flix, I'll get Nathan and we'll be there soon"

"Good, I'm going to Birmingham now, you better get going" I said quietly then opened a portal, "Xerox, hurry up" I said, he turned into his human form.

"Im coming Flix, hold up" he smiled and came over in his white jeans and red hoodie.

"Good, lets go, good luck Nick" I said smiling, we then walked through the portal and I saw what was causing the trouble immediately. "Maaaaybe we should have taken New York" I said leaping into a backflip as a rock flew towards me from the left.

"Agreed" Xerox yelped transformimg into a dragon. I immidiatly started my attack, shooting crystals here and there, then a skyscraper began to colapse, and began to fall towards me...

"XEROX!" I screamed creating a platform to hold up the skyscraper, I struggled to keep it up and a shadow lunged at me. Xerox was otherwise occupied and I was begging to drop the building until a voice called out "HOLD ON!" Just then a blast of White, light blue and green crystals shot the shadow. I yelped and pushed the building harder as my crystals began to crack, I formed more then a girl ran over to me, She formed whote, green and light blue crystals and helped push the building up. "Who are you?" I asked pushing the building up harder.

"introductions later, lets just dispose of this, is there anyone inside?"

"I dunno XEROX, LITTLE BIT OF HELP OVER HERE!" I yelled,

"Of course Flix, I'm on my way" then a white dragon with a red and a blue eye came over and pulled the building up, as soon as it was up I lept back and shot crystals at a shadow sneaking up on the girl.

"Okay, so who are you?" I asked. As I walked to her so we were back to back. "Name's Fate, what's yours?"

"Flix" I smiled, hopefully this would go well, then of course it all had to go downhill as a loud explosion went off.
