I sit on the floor, smiling as I watch Laken messily color the paper. She wanted to draw the house, but it's looking more like a melting shack than anything else. Dad watches from the couch, trying his best to hold in his laughter. Mom isn't here yet, which I know has dad worried.

The door bursts open, guards and policemen barging into the house. They yell for us to stand. I pull Laken into my arms, doing as they say. One policeman heads towards Laken and I, pulling my little sister out of my arms. Another grabs me by the shoulders, dragging me away from my father. "What are you doing? Let my daughters go!" Dad yells. They don't listen, instead yanking his arms behind his back and handcuffing the, together.

He grunts in pain. "Stop it!" I shout at them. "You're hurting him!" Again, no one listens. A man in a lab coat enters the house, multiple syringes in his hand.

"Hold them still. They shouldn't be moving when this goes in."

"What are you talking about? Will someone tell me what the hell is going on?" Dad has given up struggling.

"Your wife has turned full zombie. There's no way to bring her back. This wouldn't such a big deal if she hadn't bitten someone's ear off, but she did." A policeman informs us. "We have no choice but to lock her up." I let out a cry, tears streaming down my face. Dad remains silent, but I can see the light leave his eyes. His knees give out, and he crumbles to the floor. "Inject them."

The doctor goes to Laken first, grabbing her arm and stabbing the needle into her skin. She lets out a whimper. The doctor then goes to dad, who remains unmoving, not even flinching when the needle enters his skin. The doctors turns to me, an evil glint in his eyes.

I struggle in the policeman's hold. The doctors grabs my arm, yanking it closer to him. A whimper escapes my lips. "No, please. I'm scared of needles. Don't make do it."

The doctor scoffs. "You're scared of needles?" I nod my head. "Well, we're scared of you."
