"a couple years ago." his eyes swept across the room and fell to the floor. he does this often whether he realizes it or not " I'm from a little town in South Dakota called Rapid City and I miss it very much."
"i've never been"
"you've never been to the black hills ?!" he looked at me like I was crazy.
"nope" I offered him a small smile. he took is graciously with an open laugh.
"well i'm a hill kid and maybe .. um- maybe we can go sometime." he kept looking to the ground. like he spilled his words on the floor and was tryin to find his next sentence.
