ARACHNE SCUTTLED OVER her pinchers clicked as she closed in on Annabeth.
"Percy!" Annabeth shouted limping over to me. Her grey eyes were wide and scared and kept looking over to the gigantic spider that moved slowly due to the injuries Annabeth had caused. "What do we do?"
"What...?" I wasn't listening but I stared at the spider and was focusing on not throwing up. Arachne finally reached us and I had still not uncapped Riptide.
"Poor unfortunate demigods," Arachne hissed. "Why do you fight for the gods when your only reward is pain and suffering?"
"It's better than submitting to a psycho pile of dirt." Annabeth spat,
"She just fought you itsy bitsy, alone and she won. Now there's two of us!" Percy smiled, he uncapped Riptide and felt it grow into his familiar sword.
"Ready?" He whispered to Annabeth.
"I love you," she whispered back readying her dagger.
And the charged together.
