He growled and held himself back from punching the wall. That was the last pack. He had been around the world in search of her. Every pack on every continent.

Maybe she was-?

No. He couldn't think like that. She was out there somewhere. She had to be.

"Alpha." A small voice called out to him. The Luna of the pack he was visiting stood in the doorway, a nervous look on her face. She fidgeted with her top, twisting it and pulling on it, a sign that he scared her. He took a deep breath to calm himself so he didn't lash out at her.

"Um, dinner is ready if you would like to join the pack. We'll be eating outside tonight." He nodded once and turned his back to her, quietly dismissing her.

"Logan." He turned once again, knowing there was only one person who dared call him by his name. His beta, Christopher, stood there, a calming air surrounding him. He stepped forward and put both hands on his alpha's shoulders and looked him straight in the eyes, normally a sign of disrespect, but coming from Christopher, it was a welcomed gesture.

"You'll find her. And she'll be waiting for you."

With those words running through his head, he set off to enjoy his meal before he left for home.

Back to the cold, lonely castle that awaited him.
