-one week later-
"You're doing great sweetie" I turned around hearing someone behind me say. I was currently working on a dress for the fashion show that's coming up in a few months.
It was John who said it. "Thank you James" I smiled as I see the door open behind him. It was Jannette. She stood by the door smiling.
"Hey Monique, can I talk to you for a second?"
"Yeah" I said as I set the dress down from the hanger as I walked over to her. "What's up?" I asked as we walked together to see my mother standing in the hallway.
"Mom" I grinned from ear to ear ad I hugged her tightly.
"Hi honey!" She hugged me.
"What are you doing here?" I asked as she let go of my hug putting her hands on either side of my arms.
"Well, I wanted to surprise you and help you find your dress for your wedding"
"But mom you need to schedule appointments for those"
"Already got it covered" she said. "I did my research and I saw this really good place. I scheduled it for Tuesday"
In 3 days.
"When did you come here?" I asked.
"Like an hour ago. I went straight here from the airport"
"How long are you staying"
"Sadly just for a week. But let's not think about that. I'm here!"
"Well let's go home! I have to show you around" I turned towards Jannette as she stood there smiling. "Can you please lock up for me? Please?" I asked as she nodded. "I can finish the dress later"

-Sammy's Pov-"The destination is on your right" spoke Siri as I arrived at apartment buildings.
I was supposed to meet up with an old friend of Nate. He wanted me to pick something up for him.
I got out the car and locked it as I walked inside.
"Hello, I'm here to visit a friend" I told the lady at the front desk as she nodded. "First name?" She asked as I told her my name.
"Let me just ring up the guy just to make sure" she said as I nodded waiting.
I heard obnoxious laughter as I turned to hear where it came from.
My eyes couldn't believe it. I quickly ran to the nearest wall so they wouldn't see me.
I peaked my head a little to hear their conversation as they came up closer.
"So same time tomorrow?" She asked him as he nodded.
"Babe, I don't think I can. Her mom came today to visit. She wanted to help her daughter pick out her dress for the wedding but shit, if it wasn't for that fortune she has from her father. I wouldn't marry her"
"What are you gonna do at the honeymoon by the way. You told me she's a virgin"
I see the lady at the front desk giving me a concerned look as I put my finger over my mouth signaling her not to blow up my cover.
"I don't think she's a virgin. I doubt it. With a body like that...there's no way no one wouldn't want to hit it. But then there's me who wants to wait until marriage. She still thinks I'm a virgin" I heard them laughing.
"That girl is so stupid. Why the fuck would she think that? Dumbass I swear" she laughed as they started walking.
Before I couldn't hear them anymore I hear him say.
"I'll give it two years and then, Boom! Divorce!"
I started waking to the front ladies desk as she asked what happened.
"That couple...do they come here often?" I asked as she nodded her head.
"They both live here together. But from the looks it sounds like the man is cheating on his fiancé. How do you know them?"
"Because that man is marrying my best friend. And she needs me more than ever right now"
—
-3 days later-
-Monique's Pov-"This dress is too much" I said as I looked at the details. There were pearls and designs sowed.
"Well there's one that is very simple at the bottom but a lot of pearls at the top" the lady said as my mother asked her to bring it out.
-
"Oh sweet heart" I see my mother tear up as I came out of the dressing room. I twirled around as I looked at myself in the mirror."This is the one" I said imagining how beautiful I was going to look for my soon to be husband.
"Well let me go and ring it up really quick. I'll go get the paper work" the lady said leaving the room.
I twirled around to see my mother.
"Monique, I'm so happy that you're finally getting married to the man of your dreams. You've always wanted to have a giant wedding ever since you were a little girl. Your father would have been so happy to walk you down that aisle" she teared up.
"He will walk me down mom" I felt a tear drop down my cheek. "In spirit. Both of you guys will walk me down that aisle"
"You picked the right man. Jessie is such a wonderful man that I know will truly make you happy. And he'll make me even happy by giving me grandchildren" she said as we both laughed.
"Mom, I'm finally happy. I've realized that this day will be one to remember and I'm not letting anyone take this away" I said as she gave me a concerned look.
"Why do you say that?"
"Oh nothing mother. It's nothing" I said as we hear the lady walk in.
"Okay so here are the papers to fill out" she said as I got back in the dressing room to change back into my regular clothes.
