the crunching of twigs and heavy breaths were all calliope could hear as she sprinted through the forest.

calliope had been passing through a nearby town when a group of new born vampires spotted her and chased after her.

turning her head behind her, calliope spotted only one newborn chasing her and so she raised her hand, the same burning flame encasing it before she threw it.

she had hit the vampire right in its neck causing it to hiss and collapse.

calliope grinned before turning back and gripping her backpack.
the blonde had no idea where she was, if she wasn't mistaken, she saw a sign that said Forks.

she had to admit, the forest was beautiful, from the different shades of green and growing flowers.

calliope had discovered that over the years and especially after her shift, she had been the gift of pyrokinesis. If she took a good guess, the reason for having the gift of fire would have been because of how much flames influenced her in the past.

but she wasn't complaining, it came in handy against bloodsuckers.

calliope wouldn't say she hated all vampires. she had come across a few kind vampires such as the denali coven but those black coated vampires had put a negative feeling in the pit of her heart.

as her mind was filled with thoughts, calliope had failed to notice a small ledge.

"ah-!" calliope let out a little squeal as her body fell, rolling against the firm dirt ground.

she knelt on the ground, both hands holding her up as she let out a few coughs.

'should of been looking where i was going' calliope cursed herself before two strong scents filled her nose.

scanning her surrounding, she had finally realised that she had fallen right in the center of two groups.

jumping to her feet, calliope backed herself right into a tree, watching the two groups closely.

"hey. it's okay, we didn't mean to startle you" an older man with blonde hair, pale white skin and a pair of golden eyes softly spoke.

calliope noticed the multiple other golden eyes that were staring right back at her.

it was a coven of vampires.
