Adi's Point Of View
When Cat leaned in to kiss me we heard someone approach us.
Cat:Mom? How did you find me?
Lady:Doesn't matter, time for you to come home Catalina.
She crossed her arms and gave me a death stare. I guess it looked bad because I was holding Sophia.
Cat:I guess I'll see you later Adi.
Adi:Okay, Bye.
She walked away with her mom. It was just me and Sophia again. We just ate our pizza at the table and I took home the left overs that we had. Once I got home I seen my mom's boyfriend Matt. I seriously hate him. He think I'm a horrible person for getting someone pregnant and I allowed her to leave the kid with me. Whenever Sophia does something bad, he hits her and then I get involved. When I get involved, fights start. He is taller and obviously bigger than me so he is capable of beating me up. As I sat on my bed with Sophia I decided that maybe I should get a job. I want to move out of here and provide for Sophia. I want to be able to put food on the table. The thing is that my mom doesn't want to take care of Sophia, she tells me that I should have kept it in my pants. I'm sure as hell not leaving Sophia with Matt. My only option would be to leave her with Mariana. A few hours later I walked over to her house and knocked on the door. Her brother answered.
Anthony:Ugh you again. MARIANA!! Adi is here!
She approached the door and I couldn't help but smile.
Mariana:Um hey Adi, what are you doing here?
Adi:Mind if I come in?
Mariana:Not at all, come in.
I sat down on her couch. I got to admit her house was much neater and bigger than mine was. I laid Sophia down on the couch while she slept. Mariana sat on the other side of the couch.
Mariana:So is something wrong?
Adi:No, I just wanted to ask you something.
Mariana:Okay then, ask me.
Adi:Would it be okay if Sophia stayed with you for a while?
Mariana:Wait what? You guys are leaving her?
Adi:No, it's just that I wanted you to watch her while I work.
Mariana:Why don't your parents just watch her?
Adi:They work as well.
Mariana:What about your older brother?
Adi:He isn't good with kids. He has a busy life. If you don't want to watch her then it's fine.
Mariana:No, I don't mind watching her.
Adi:I'll give you money for food and baby supplies.
Mariana:No, I could provide that simple stuff on my own. You just focus on work.
Adi:Thank you so much Mariana.
Mariana:I just don't understand one thing. How come you trust me if you don't really know me?
