We were joined by three other guys.  I guess they were friends.

"Micheal!  Who's this?"  One of them asked.  He had blonde hair that was styled with a bandana.

"This is Rory.  My new friend.  Rory, this is Calum, Luke, and Ashton."  Michael said.

"Hi, it's nice to meet you."  I smiled.

"Same to you.  Keep Michael company, we're going to go play some beer pong!"  Calum exclaimed.

"Aren't you going to join them?"  I asked.

"I'm not one for party games."  He admitted.  He looked more like the type to stay in and watch films.

"Can I ask you something?"  He asked.

"Yeah, sure."  I don't know what he was going to ask but I suddenly felt nervous.  What if he asks why he came over here?  What if he says he was looking at Kayley and not me?  I should save myself some embarrassment and walk away now.

"Why are you treating me normally?"  He asked.  I looked at him quite confused.  Why would I not treat him normally?

"I don't understand why I wouldn't."  I told him truthfully.  His face went full of confusion then shock.

"You don't know me!  Oh my god, I'm embarrassed.  I should probably stop assuming people know who I am."  He said.

"Who exactly are you?"  I asked him.

"I'm in a band, 5 Seconds of Summer.  And my friends you met are also in that band.  We're pretty known by now.  We went on tour with One Direction last summer."  Michael explained.

"Oh!  Yeah, I've heard that name.  I just didn't know what any of the members looked like.  Sorry."  I told him.

"No need to apologize.  I understand."  He smiled.  We continued talking for awhile.  We had a few more drinks and sat down on a near by couch and talked to one another.  I almost forget that Sam was here, almost.  Until he walked over to me.  I didn't notice him standing behind me until Michael looked away.  I turned around and saw Sam with apologetic eyes.

"Can we talk?"  Sam asked me.

"I'm busy."  I said bluntly.

"I know you're pissed at me.  But please, hear me out."

"I did on the phone earlier.  I listened.  But I don't forgive you.  Please leave me alone."  I asked him.  He sighed and walked away.

"Can I ask who that was?"  Michael questioned.

"My ex.  He cheated on me and claims he didn't know what he was doing.  He's been trying to apologize all day but I wouldn't have it."  I explained.

"So it just happened recently?"  He asked.

"This afternoon."  I tried smile but I couldn't.  He saw that was hurting and pulled me into his arms.  He rubbed my back soothingly.

"I know this is kind of out on a whim, but do you want to get out of here?  It's getting crowded."  He asked.  I nodded into his chest.  We stood up and I went to find Kayley.  She was standing outside on the deck with a few other people.

"Hey, Kayley.  This is my friend Michael.  We're going to get out of here.  I'll meet you at the house later."  I told her.

"Okay, have fun.  Don't do anything I wouldn't do."  She smiled and hugged me goodbye.  I rolled my eyes at her and walked away with Michael.
