Agustin
We went to this place called IHOP for breakfast. It was really strange because there were these people walking around taking others orders and bring them food. In the future everybody just typed what they wanted onto a mini computor screen and fly it to the chefs kitchen and the chef would fly the food out to you. When you are taken to your table it is by a mini computor screen that flies you to your table.
"What are these people taking the orders?" I say because I was actually really curios for some reason.
"They are called waiters if you are a guy and waitress if you are a girl," Erika explained. "Let me guess you have some buzzard technology in the eternity."
"Yeah basically."
"Hi, I'm Maureen and I will be your server today can I start you off with something to drink," this women says. I think Erika noticed I was going to say something that nobody has ever heard of before so she cuts me off before I can say.
"We will have the orange juice pitcher," Dhe says.
"Alright I'll be right back with it. Just two cups right?" The "waitress" asks.
"Yes." I say.
Erika gives me a glare.
"What? You really think I was going to let you do everything for me?"
"No I was just expecting you to say some buzzard word."
"You know not everything is different in the eternity."
"Yeah I know but you look really cute when you try to explain the eternity."
"Oh really does that mean you want me to explain more about the eternity?"
"Only if you want but first...." She kisses me. "Okay go ahead if you want."
I explain stuff about the future to Erika as we eat and then we hear some commotion at the entrance we look over and then see the FBI. Maureen comes over to us. I'm not sure if she was talking with the FBI but she sure knows what is going on. This can not be good.
"Hey if you guys want to live come with me," Maureen says.
"Ok," I say. "But why are you helping us?"
"Because I am from the future too. They killed my parents. They have no idea that I am from the future though."
"You knew he was from the future?" Erika says.
"Yes I did, I could tell. I can see it in people's eyes. I know it may sound strange."
"It's not strange. I could tell as well with Gus. My parents I think were from the future because they have the same facial features."
"Ok well do you have somewhere to hide from these people?" The waitress asks.
"Yes I think we do," I say.
"Alright, do you mind if I come with you? I could make sure that they don't get to you if you don't mind. They won't suspect me to do anything. They don't think I am from the future."
"Of course let's go," I say. We run to where Erika and I are staying.
"You guys go hide inside, I'll make myself look busy outside and then I will distract the FBI if they come around," Maureen tells us.
"Ok, thank you, c'mon Erika," I take Erika's hand and lead her inside. We hide under a few fallen pipes Erika looks scared. I can tell. I felt the same way.
"It's ok I'm right here, we will be ok," I say stroking her hair as she leans her head against my cheast.
"I love you so much," Erika says. I feel tears soaking through my shirt.
"I love you too," I kiss her so passionitly. It almost felt like it was the last time I was going to kiss her. But I was never going to get that happen.
We are broken apart when we hear a scream.
"What was that," Erika says with worry in her voice.
"I don't know," I say trying to sound calm even though I was definiatly not calm.
"Run guys, nooooo please don't!" Maureen screams. Erika starts crying in fear.
"It will be okay Erika. We
Have to get out of there," I say with some worry in my voice. I take her hand and we start running.
Then I hear a gunshot but no scream. I kept running, it can't be Erika, she would have screamed. Her grip starts to loosen on me. Erika please be following me I plead in my head. I turn around and see Erika on the ground. I see red. This can't be right. This is all my fault.
"Erika!" I scream. I am crying now. This is all because if me. There is another gun shot. I dive to the side and hide behind a wall. This feels like the end. If it is the end for Erika then it is the end for me.
