I awoke to sun in my face and someone's chest supporting my head. My hand is balled up in a fist clinging to some sort of cloth. I close my eyes listening to the steady breaths and heartbeat. Then I quickly realize who the person is and try to get away but a strong arm keeps me from moving. I look up and see Adeland asleep. My face turns a dark shade of red and the tip of my ears. His face is so calm and peaceful that I stay dazed for a while until he tightens his grip on me.
"Why does this happen?" I say under my breath, "Adeland wake up!" I poke his face.
"Hmmm......?"He wakes up half asleep and gives me a confused look. "Why are you so close to me?"
"Hmm I wonder why. Let's ask your ARM that question!" I point towards his arm around me and he immediately let's go.
He finally snaps out of his daze, "I'm sorry! I was asleep."
I heave a big sigh and stand up. " Whatever, don't do it again. It's not time for cuddling." I give him a warning glare even though my face is red. "We need to work on our training for a little bit. Now get up."
With that he quickly gets up and does what I say. I try to calm down and wait for my face color to return normal. When It does we head down the ladder to the training grounds.
"Alright we need to work on Bankai a little more." I change into my soul reaper form setting my gigai down gently.
"Ooh yeah!" Adeland exclaims with excitement. I then hold out my hand and he gives me a confused look.
"Weapon form?" I raise an eyebrow. In response he changes into the zanpukto and flames appear. "Show off," I say and laugh.
"Dark flames from Adeland Rise with your strength! Bankai!"
Adeland turns into a dragon and moves to my side. I concentrate on the target that is a giant rock. It is engulfed in seconds of flames and I smile in relief. Then I focus on much bigger things that take more spiritual energy away. A couple hours later I am panting from exhaustion.
"That will be all for today." I set Adeland down carefully and go back into my gigai.
"That was good practice today. You can withstand the energy loss much longer." Adeland pats the top of my head and smiles as he changes back.
"Thanks but I just can't quite get the smaller individual targets." We walk over to the ladder and start to climb up it. "Next is the festival!" I say as soon as we reach the top. I climb out and and then grab Adeland's hand and help him up.
"I can't wait!" His eyes shine bright with excitement.
"Well go get changed I'll meet you at the door ok?" I look up at him.
"Ok!" he gives me a thumbs up and quickly goes to change.
I go fetch my package from the storage room and change. I leave my hair down and put a small pink flower pin in my hair and smile. I try and stay away from the mirror in the room avoiding it. Then I rush to the door and wait for Adeland. He finally comes out and his eyes go wide. He was wearing a blue yukata that matched his eyes.
"What?" I look at him confused.
He shakes his head, "Um nothing. we better hurry and meet the others."
"Ya." I nod my head and head out onto the sidewalk.
Adeland follows beside me. We meet up with the others and head to the school.
"I can't believe we actually finished in time in perfection." Ishida pushes his glasses up.
"Well we did four eyes." I say annoyed and he gives me a hate glare.
