She gave him a half-hearted smile to reassure him. In truth, she didn't feel better, but she didn't want to tell him that, so as to make his efforts seem useless. Because he made her feel better. But her brain was still nagging at her.
She felt as if she was spiraling into an endless hole of despair. A sea of depression. The waves were crashing over her head, trying to stop her from breathing.
