Cheryl's POV

"I'll call you!" I said as Toni bolted out of the room. "You most certainly will not," my horrible demon mother spat. "I am going to find a remote facility to send you to, and get this...idea you can have something romantic with a girl, with a SERPENT OUT OF YOUR HEAD!" with that, she grabbed my phone and marched out of the room, slamming the door. Before I could react, she locked the door, trapping me. A prisoner in my own home. I sat, on the bed, sobbing. My own mother. All of this, just, was not supposed to happen. With Toni, I was happy, so happy for the first time in so long. I pulled at the sheets, and realized I might be able to get out of here. So I set to work, tying using anything I could to escape, gathering cash and clothes. I was gonna run, and not even Penelope blossom could stop me.

*Time skip*
I was done. A window opened, a screen slashed, waiting for the cover of darkness. My hair covered, we what I could take on my back, the makeshift rope tied to the bed. I climbed out, praying to whatever holy deiety that my mother didn't catch me. I got to the bottom of the rope safely, now the fence, the real challenge. Thanks to my river vixen training, I made it to the top and over. But I lost my grip, and fell, onto my wrist. I bit the inside of my lip, covering a scream, feeling the broken bone. It would have to wait.
I set off, into the woods, off to the other side of town.

*Time skip*
I stood outside of the cooper house, scared to knock. But i did. I trusted cousin betty, and i needed somewhere to crash. At least until i found a way out of thistlehouse for good. I knocked. The door was opened by a very confused betty. "Cheryl? What are you doing here?" She asked me. "Betty? Who is it?" Alice came to the door, and saw me. "Oh hello cheryl." "Are you okay? Why are you here?" Betty asked. "I ran. My mother caught me, sleeping in bed...with... " i couldnt get anything else out without breaking down. Betty put her arm around me and led me into the house. Thank god for the coopers. They didnt pressure me to talk, and alice gave me some tea, and let me calm down. Finally i was ready to talk. "I was..... sleeping in bed..... with Toni. We're dating. But she was supposed to leave earlier. We fell asleep. My mother found her serpent jacket downstairs, and caught us together. She bolted, but i dont blame her for that. My mom took my phone and locked me in my room. She was so angry, and i took off, climbed out my window before i could find out how she was going to use that anger for punishing me. I promise to go somewhere else, but i need a place to stay for the night. If not, thats okay, but i would like to use your bathroom if its okay." I told them. "Of course, the bathroom is down the hall, to the left." "Thank you." I smiled at alice.

Betty's POV
"Mom, we have to let her stay here. She just fled her house out of fear of what her mom would do to her, just for sleeping in bed with another girl. Its not right." I said to my mom. "What if it was me, scared, running from my house? You would want me to have somewhere to go." I begged her. She thought about it, before saying "OK. She can stay here for a while if she needs it."

Cheryl's POV
I got back from the bathroom, and alice told me i could stay if needed. "Thank you so much, ill find a way to make it up to you somehow." I said gratefully. So for the night, i settled in the spare room. After a bit, betty came in. "Hey. What are you doing here Betty?" I asked as she shut the door. "First of all, i feel horrible you had to run from your house, but i do believe somewhere in that awful mess of fleeing your house, you mentioned something about a certain pink haired serpent girl?" I chuckled at my cousin. "Yeah. Toni and i are officially dating, but its on the down-low. Not many people know about it. Like Sweetpea, and Jughead, but i made him swear not to tell you." I told her. "So, i wanna know about this. Tell me everything." She pleaded with me until i opened up to her. I told her about everything. How i kissed her in the locker room, and our date at Pop's. I told her how we snuck around, how we were together for two months, careful to keep the watchful eye of my mother on something other than us. "I feel, happy with her for the first time in so long. I just hope my heinous mother hasn't scared her off." I said sadly. Betty thought about this for a minute, before finally saying, "i dont think you've lost her at all. Ive met toni. She's a tough girl. And i dont think she would run because she got scared. Especially if running means running away from you. So, how about, tomorrow, i sneak you to school, and you find her and figure this all out. Also, i came here to bandage that wrist of yours. It looks pretty bad." She gently grabbed my arm, and bandaged my wrist. "Get some sleep cheryl. Ill see you in the morning."

Ahh okay, first of all sorry that took so long. Also, this story will now be updated every other week, seeing as how i am releasing another story, which will be updated every week this one isn't. So hopefully inconsistent updates will stop happening.
