It was cold outside. I could see my puffs of breath in front of me. My white fur moved with the wind. My long legs were taking long strides. My paws feeling the cold sensation of the white snow. My grey eyes focused on my objective. The moon. I ran faster as the moon shone brighter, making my white fur glisten. Trees were hurling pass me, my time to stop coming quickly. As promised, in a matter of minutes I came to a halt. I was at the end of the cliff, the moon at it's highest peak. I looked up and howled, the moon brightly shining.END OF DREAM
My body felt warm in a split second. I slowly opened my tired eyes and looked at my alarm clock.
7:34 AM... Thank god is Friday.
I slowly try to move my tired body off the bed, barely even accomplishing to get off my (f/c) blankets. The blankets felt a billion times heavier this morning.
A small groan escapes my lips and I let my head fall back onto my pillow. My eyes slowly close and my mind goes back to the dream I had.
A small smile formed on my lips and I sighed contently. With newly found strength, I managed to push off the covers and run to my window. I opened it, the cold winter breeze blowing my hair back.
"THANK YOU SANDMAN!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. I laugh and see my words come out in puffs. A gentle breeze blows inside my room making me shiver.
I look up at the sky and see small white pinpricks fall from the sky. My heart started beating faster by the minute, my legs getting shaky.
A smile was plastered on my face and I couldn't take it any longer. I ran to my bathroom as fast as possible and did my morning routine.
As I came shooting out of the bathroom the smell of pancakes engulfed my nose. My smile widens even more as I run to the stairs and slide down the rail to get to the bottom quicker.
When I reach the bottom I'm meet with green eyes and a smile as big as mine.
"You're up and ready to go ain'tcha?" The greened eyed teen asked. I nodded my head up and down quickly, almost giving myself whiplash. The teen chuckled and lead me to the wooden table with many utensils on top. A small blue flower sat in the middle, in a white vase.
"(Y/N) what'cha gonna do today?" The teen asked.
"The usual bro. Take a walk, maybe draw something!" My (E/C) orbs suddenly sparkling with anticipation. I heard my brother chuckle once again and turn around holding a plate of pancakes. My mouth started to drool slightly. My bros pancakes are the best!
"You should open a restaurant or something Caleb! People would be coming from all over the world to taste your food!" He placed the plate in front of me and handed me the syrup.
"I would love too! You know that, but you also know that we can't..." My smile faded a bit cause I knew he was right. My father left my mother when Caleb and I were just kids. My mother tried everything to protect us, she worked her back off to maintain us. Until one day... One dreadful day...
FLASHBACK SEQUENCE: BEGUN
My vision was blurred as tears blocked the sight in front of me. My mother was laying down on the floor of our home, scarlet liquid surrounding her thin body. I turn to look at my brother, the same look of sadness written on his face. I darted towards the phone and dialed 9-1-1, trying to contain my sobs. But to no avail, I failed.
"9-1-1, what's your emergency?"
"H-Hello? P-please, help m-my momma!"
"What's your name sweetheart"
"(Y-Y/N), P-pleas help my momma!"
"Someone is on there way, tell me what happened."
"Me and b-brother were playing outside. And we h-heard momma scream. When we c-came back s-she-she..." I cried my eyes out.
I could hear my brother crying as well. Sires were starting to block out or cries.
Men quickly came into our home and took us out. The sirens cry grew even louder mixed with our own cries.
The neighbors looked at us with a face of sadness. They took me and my brother to a car and placed us inside.
My heart was shattered and I could tell my brothers was as well. I hugged my brother and he hugged me back, not wanting to let go. I sobbed and sobbed until I could no more...
FLASHBACK SEQUENCE: ENDED
Tears were falling down my cheeks as I pursed my lips, tasting the saltiness of them. Caleb had tears of his own rolling down his reddened cheeks.
I took in a deep breath and wiped my tears away. This happened years ago when I was 4 to be exact.
I stood up from the chair and walked over to my brother. I hugged him and wiped his tears away.
We stayed like this for a while until I caught the glimpse of something white out the window. I gently push Caleb off me and make my way to the door.
"Where are you going lil' sis?" I ignore his question and open the front door. A strong gust of cold wind makes me tumble back, but I keep my ground.
My eyes open wide and my mouth turns into a smile. I turn around to face my brother and smile even more.
"SNOW DAYYY!!!" I yell.
