Ellia P.O.V."Psst. Hey!"
Ellia groaned as she stirred awake from her restless sleep. She looked over at the cell door, and saw a Templar standing outside her cell.
"Ugh. What do you want?" The guard's voice sounds vaguely familiar, but through the haze of pain and sleepiness, she couldn't place it.
"Look," he whispered, "I'm not supposed to be here, so I'm just going to tell you straight up why I'm here. I'm breaking you out."
He reached into a pocket on the side of his belt, pulling out a ring of keys. He fumbled with them for a moment before inserting a small, silver one into the lock. A moment later, the door was open.
"Come on!" He gestured at her to come out. "Follow me, quietly."
Ellia shrunk back in her cell, cursing herself. Don't show fear, you idiot! But she couldn't do it. She couldn't go through another interrogation. She didn't believe the guard's words about breaking her out for a moment, and why should she? This was her worst enemy talking, after all.
"Hey," the guard said, his voice quiet and soft. "I'm not going to hurt you. I'm here to help you escape. If you follow me, I'll get you out of here before they can hurt you again." He reached out a hand to her, leaning down a bit to look her right in the eye.
Ellia hesitated, but then she reached out and took the guard's hand, ignoring the screaming voice of reason in her mind. He led her through the dark passages, both of them careful not to make a sound.
They finally emerged from the depths of the fortress, back out into the main hall where the moonlight streamed onto the floor. Ellia squinted in the light, it was like a blinding magnesium fire after the darkness of the dungeon tunnels.
The guard turned back to Ellia. He grabbed something off of his belt, a leather pouch, and handed it to her. She took it warily, but after a moment she placed it in her cloak.
"You'd better go," the guard whispered. "There's only a couple hours until dawn, and the night patrol is still around. You need to get as far from here as possible, and find your brother. He needs you."
"Wait, you know my brother?"
"I met up with him in the marketplace earlier." The guard hesitated, blue eyes filled with concern. "Even if I was still going to kill him, I don't think I'd have to now. He's on the verge of taking his own life."
Ellia's head was spinning. She knew why the guard's voice sounded so familiar now. This was the guard that had been assigned to kill her brother after Shadow's death.
"Shark," she whispered. "You're Shark."
The guard's eyes widened, and he opened his mouth as if to ask a question, but suddenly, a bright light filled the tunnels behind them. A patrol was coming up the stairs.
"Go! Go, go now!" Shark hissed. "Get out before they see you!"
"Come with me, Shark," she whispered, backing towards the door. "Get out of here while you still have the chance!"
"I can't. You have to go, now. I'll see you again, I promise. Now get out!"
Ellia hesitated only a moment more, looking at him, and then turned and sprinted out of the base as quietly as she could, leaving Shark.
She ran on and on, through the dark woods surrounding the base, ignoring the pain from her countless wounds. The whole time, she had only one thought.
I have to find Sabre.

Time Skip -The next morning
................................................Sabre P.O.V.
Sabre was wandering again.
He walked through the alleyways that led to his hideout, not really seeing where he was going but heading there instinctively. His thoughts were racing as he climbed down the ladder, but the thick layer of grief still dulled them down to a mumble in his mind.
This is how it's going to be from now on, I guess. The one clear though broke through the others, and Sabre sighed as he turned around.
He stopped dead when he saw he wasn't alone.
"Well, hello there!" Sabre stood in shock, unable to comprehend what he was seeing.
"Wh- how- what are you doing in here?"
"Ah, just thought I'd drop in, say hello," the Templar from the marketplace said.
"How did you get in here before me?" Sabre was still shocked that he'd even found the place to begin with.
"Mm, maybe I'm better at this than you thought, eh?"
The shock was wearing off, replaced now with annoyance. "Look, what do you want? Stop wasting my time! If you're gonna kill me, then just kill me, alright?"
Shark stopped for a moment, and took a breath. "Listen, I- I did some thinking, and I can relate to you, in an odd way."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Sabre interrupted.
Shark continued. "Look, man, I feel your pain, alright?"
"Yeah? Well you know what? I really do not care. Now either kill me or get out and leave me alone."
"Hey! Look, man! I know what you're feeling. I get it. I know you're feeling this right now, but like I said, I can relate to you in a little way. I mean, I grew up small, and-"
"Dude! I said I'm not interested! Just get to the point, okay? I don't need your whole backstory! Ok, what do you need, what do you want from me?"
"Ok. I have an idea, but I need to make sure you don't do anything stupid before the idea comes into play."
"Well, you know, I don't know if I want to believe a Templar Guard, who broke into my hideout!" Shark tried to continue, but Sabre cut him off. "No! Just stop, okay? You're insane! I don't know what makes you think that even for a second I'd think of working with you! I don't want your sympathies, your help, or your dumb ideas! Now get out of here!"
Shark stepped closer to him. "Ok, you know what, despite what you may think, I'm just trying to help. Oh, and- sorry."
"Sorry about what?" Sabre asked, his annoyance reaching its peak.
"This."
He was answered by Shark's armoured fist hitting him in the face, knocking him out cold.
