When You Arrive

"Now landing in California and thank you for flying with Delta Airlines." The flight attendant said over the intercom.

Everyone started to move around, getting ready to stretch their legs after what felt like 50 hours on this plane. I had to sit between Gelo who kept eating, leaving crumbs everywhere and Zo who kept trynna roast.

I need to get off this plane asap

After getting off, and getting our stuff from baggage claim and try to leave as quickly as possible. It was like three in the morning, so we were able to get away before too many people tried to stop and take pictures.

Even though we told the media that we were leaving Lithuania, I didn't tell Dom when we're actually gonna be home. Tomorrow is the baby shower, so I wanted to surprise her.

"The Big Ballers are back!" Alan greets us at the car with the camera crew, "How does it feel?"

"Warm." Gelo mumbles getting in the van, with Zo behind him. "It will feel good once I get to see my girl." I say trying to rush them.

"What are ya'll gonna do when you see each other?" Zo asks me. "We're gonna practice for baby number two." I say with all seriousness.

Gelo and Zo bust up laughing while my dad and Alan shake their heads. "See that's what we're not gonna do." My dad turns around and tells me.

But that's exactly what we're gonna do

"Melo you need to get up if you want to surprise Dom at the baby shower." My dad tells me. I roll over in my bed groaning,trying to get up, but just ended up going back to sleep.

"Boy you better get yo' ass up." My dad comes back in, "I'm not gon tell you again." I hear him leave my room. I finally get up, because I'm not trynna hear him start yelling even more.

I look at my phone and see the messages Dom had sent me.

Sorry babe but I don't think imma make it. there was trouble with our connecting flight. We're flying back rn.

I felt so bad lying to her, but what made it even worse was the fact that I could tell that she was hurt. It will all be worth it when I see the look on her face.

I take a quick shower to help me wake up. After I get out, I wash up, get dressed and even put some gel in my hair that Dom had bought me so it wouldn't be "wild."

Once I was done I go downstairs to see if anyone else was ready. "It was about time you finished." Zo said tapping his wrist.

"Shut up." I brush him off, "you just mad you looking like somebody's dad." I point to his lame ass outfit. "Boy you're about to be a dad. We're literally going to your baby shower right now!" He laughed.

"Alright that's enough you two, let's roll out." My dad tells us. Zo, Gelo, my dad, my uncle Ren and Alan were in one car, and I was driving by myself.

In order for me to surprise Dom, we all had to come at the same time, since Dom thinks we're still on a plane ride home. My mom, grandparents, Denise, Izzy, Dmo, John and Austen were already over there with her family.

The whole car ride over I was feeling anxious. I didn't know how she would react, or how her extended family would react. At this point, all I can hope for is the best.

I was getting close to the house, so I called Mo.

"Hello?"

"Hey we're all pulling up right now, so get her away from the party so we can all go in."

"Alrighty.Text me when you're ready for her to come out."

"Ok bye."

"Bye."

I hang up the call and continue driving until I finally pulled up to her house. I got out my car and walked up to the guys, "I'm gonna need y'all to be quiet so Dom doesn't hear you."

I look at my dad and he raises his hands up, "I ain't ever loud." He said with his best whisper. We walked in the backyard and all eyes were on us.

"Dom doesn't know I'm here so please don't say anything." I said in a low voice. None of her family knew what I was doing except for Mo and Dominic.

I texted Mo telling her that I was ready for them to come back outside. I stood there with sweaty palms, and a feeling of excitement that I've never felt before.

Her and Mo start walking outside, and she hasn't seen me yet. "Why are y'all so quiet?" She looks around and her eyes catch onto mine.

"Melo," She gasped, "I can't believe you're here." She walks over to me crying, "I couldn't miss our baby shower." I say meeting her half way.

I look at her huge stomach that was obviously no longer the small size it was when I left. "Look at you, you're so- I can't believe- just wow." I said causing everyone to laugh.

The sight of her had me at a loss of words, reminding me of the day we first met. The day she moved in and I made a complete fool of myself.

"It's good to see you too." She laughed, shaking up my hair. I pulled her towards me as close as her bump would let me, "I've missed you." I wipe the tears off of her cheeks.

She places my hand on her belly and holds it there,"So did we." We both leaned in, having our first kiss in five months. "Daddy's home now." I whispered, looking at her and then her stomach.

"I love you Melo." She gave me one more kiss, "I love you too." I couldn't stop smiling. The fact that I was back home with my friends and family felt too good to be true.

Can't wait to see what the future holds
