'Do you want to be next?!'

'with your weight? You're worthless!'

'Nobody will love someone as fat as you!'

'Sorry old friend, it's hero time'

Blood, blood, and voices everywhere. Thick, red liquid covers the snow.
I look up to see him towering over me, eyes black as pitch. Hair as dark as night, and a face more beautiful than the rose. He grabs me by the throat and lifts me with one arm.

'It's all your fault!'

I sit upon the soft mattress and awake with a shout. I am drenched in sweat that sends chills up and down my spine. I hear thundering footsteps come down the hall, they follow with the door bursting open.

"Lefou?! Are you okay?!" The Beast shouts and turns his head towards mine. His voice reminded me of Gaston's, I am reminded of the horrid memories of my nightmare. Tears spill down my face as I begin to sob in my hands. I hear the click of the door being shut as The Beast comes to my aid. There's a dent in the bed from where the Beast sits. He puts a large hand on my back rubbing gentle circles.

"Lefou? Please tell me what's troubling you." The gesture is calming, my sobbing dies down and I can speak.

"It was all the things people have said to me," he waits patiently, "That I'm fat, that nobody will love me, that I'm worthless, that I'm ugly." He stops rubbing my back, he reaches for my hands. I place mine in his, his fingers wrap around my small hands.

"Lefou, don't listen to them. You aren't fat, you have a pleasant weight. People love you Belle, Adam, and of course, I do! You clearly aren't worthless because you are helping me!" I look down at our hands to try and hide my blushing face.

"And Lefou, you are the most beautiful person I have ever seen." Startled I look up into the eyes of this Beast if my face wasn't red before it is now. The Beast lets go of one of my hands and rises from the bed.

"Follow me, I have something to show you." I pull the blankets off, realizing that I am still in the same clothes that I wore last night. Ignoring that detail, I follow the Beast down the long hallway and into the ballroom. The ballroom is dark but, it is dimly lit by the moonlight and an out-of-place candle in the middle of the room.

We walk towards the candle, it begins to come into focus. The candle is sitting above a glass table, so clean and transparent, that moonlight peers through it. The candle is black but still shines bright orange. However the candle isn't sitting on the table, it's floating. The wax continuously falls from the candle leaving a black ring surrounding the bottom of the candle. There is a clear glass case surrounding the candle, the bottom of the case is decorated with clear roses. "It's my clock." The beast says. I turn to look at him, he is still staring at the candle. The bright light shines on his eyes, which only appears an orange dot in the center of his eye.

"Your clock? You mentioned yesterday how you had a short amount of time to redeem yourself. Is this how much time you have left?" I ask pointing at the candle.

He nods, "Yes, when that candle finishes I will die and return to my normal body, however, if I complete my task I will become human again but I will live and gain my memories back." He looks down at his hands, then closes them into a fist. He sits down on the white marble floor and lays down.

"So sorry to go off topic but, the artwork is exquisite." He points at the patterns on the ceiling. I laugh a little and shake my head as I join him on the floor.
