"You're a little off your game today."

Maya closed her eyes, catching her breath. "Maybe Lucas will pleasure you better." She remarked before rolling out of bed, collecting the clothes that were thrown carelessly around the room.

"Hey, you okay?" Chloe's brows drew together as she watched her from the bed.

"Just fine." Maya deadpanned, putting on her clothes.

"Okay," she sighed. "I'm just gonna take a nap." Chloe told her, covering her bare body with the comforter.

Maya nodded, closing the door behind her as she slid on her sweater. She ran a hand through her tangled hair, grimacing when she hit a stubborn knot.

It was almost a year since she had been with Chloe, and five months since she had to share her. She came home one day, talking about a hot guy she had met on campus and asked if it was okay if she hooked up with him.

Maya let her and it gradually became a regular thing. Sometimes Chloe would switch between them, and at other times she'd decide that one person wasn't enough to please her.

"Hey."

She heard the glass door slide open, his footsteps approaching her.

"Hey." Maya responded, puffing out the smoke, and watching it dissipate in the air.

"Where's Chloe?" Lucas asked, resting his elbows on the railing of the balcony.

"Knocked out."

Lucas nodded slowly, wringing his hands together. He glanced at the cigarette between her fingers and held out his hand. "Can I?"

She sighed, briefly eyeing him down before handing it to him. "Why not, I'm used to sharing with you."

Lucas simpered, putting the cigarette between his lips. He parted his mouth, small clouds escaping. "Look, about last week—"

"It's okay," Maya cut him off. "It was just one kiss, it meant nothing."

Lucas bit the inside of his cheeks, pursing his lips.

"Besides, I don't think Chloe would appreciate us kissing each other; I mean, you know how jealous she got that one time when we accidentally touched hands." Maya chuckled mirthlessly.

"Chloe's selfish." Lucas blurted out. He then shook his head, his expression softening. "Sorry. It's just—you have to agree, right?"

Maya shrugged, picking at a piece of lint on her sweater. "I guess, but if you think that, then why are you even in this relationship?"

Lucas stared at her, his eyes glistening with an indecipherable expression. "Maybe something else is making me stay."

She glanced at him alarmingly, silence taking over the moment as they held each other's charged gaze.
