Caitlin pov:

"Hey Barry," I say softly walking up to him.

"Hey Cait," he says. "Do you need something?" He looks at me and everything I was going to say slips my mind.

I stand there with my mouth open trying to talk but failing completely. Barry laughs I me, I close my mouth and groan into my teeth.

"So let me guess, you came here to tell me something but now you're choking?" I nod as does Barry.

"I-I also came here to w-work but," I trail off.

"Caitlin," Barry waves his hand in front of my face. I jump backwards. "I'm not gonna hurt you,"

"I-I, I know it's just a habit." I say, he nods unconvinced of my reasoning. "Look I came here today to f-forgive you." Be looks at me.

"Really?" I nod.

"I forgive you for everything you've ever said or done to me. I never thought I'd be able to be in the same room as you, let alone forgive you but... here we are." I say.

"Great speech," he says.

"Now what?" I ask.

"Now, I'm going to give you a hug," I nod slowly, I tense up but embrace him a hug. Slowly I relax not feeling as scared as I usually do. We both let go at the same time. "See," he says, I nod. "I will never hurt you again okay Cait,"

"Okay," I whisper, he smiles. I smile back. It takes more strength for me to smile because I haven't smiled in a long time.

"Don't worry, smiling... it gets easier." Barry says.

It's like he can read me. I nod and begin my days worth of work.

Brooke pov:

"Brooke can we talk?" I turn around and see Natasha in front of me.

"What?" I ask.

"I'm sorry," she says. "I'm sorry I forgot about you, and I'm sorry I was mean... I'm sorry for a lot of things Brooke, I am."

I stand there contemplating my response.

"I understand if you hate me, I'd hate me too," Natasha says, I can see tears in her eyes. I glance at the clock on the wall, I guess she sees this because she says "I understand you have to get to class," she says sadly. "I'll leave you alone from now on if you want." She turns to leave.

"Natasha wait," I blurt out, she looks at me.

"I forgive you," she smiles and we hug.

"I'm sorry," she says.

"It's okay," I let go of her. "We should get to class."

"Yeah," she agrees and we both walk to class.

"I forgave Natasha today," I say dropping down onto Caitlin’s couch.

"Really, that's so wonderful," she responds handing me a spoon and placing an ice cream carton on the table.

"Yeah," I say.

"I forgave your dad,"

"Why?" I ask.

"I don't know," she says, "maybe he's changed."

"People don't change,"

"Why did you forgive Natasha?"

"Natasha wasn't always mean, she's really sweet, funny, relatable, kind, and nice. She just got lost." I explain.

"You don't think your dad has changed?"

"I didn't say that," I say.

"Okay fine," Caitlin says. "I think he's changed."

"Why did he shove you around every day, tell you to kill yourself, then do it all over again the next day?"

"I, I don't know," she whispers.

"Ask him, he knows why, he just won't admit it." I say taking a spoonful of ice cream. Caitlin looks at me.

"No more ice cream for you," she takes it.

"Seriously," she nods. "Do you know why?"

"No,"

"No ice cream," she says.

"Fine,"
