Here I was in Cardiff. Me, a young girl with little knowledge on Doctor Who, here to visit a city that shoots a show that I only got into because the crazy of it was similar to crazy events on Night Court. Suddenly, I see the U.K. equivalent of the Reinhold Weege's successor himself, Steven Moffat.
"Hello there," he says. "You must be Mallory Diedrickson. I'm Steven and you're just in time to watch the last table reading."
"Hi." I said shyly. It was all I could say, since I didn't want to embarrass myself.
"So, Brian tells me you won the contest by writing an essay on how Doctor Who could be comparable to Night Court. You must tell me later what that is."
"I definitely will, sir. But first, let's get to that table read." I said anxiously as he chuckled and led the way.
When there, I saw everyone who was guest starring and I had a small talk with Jenna. Gosh she was good to look at. Her smile was cute, her hair was more amazing than Kat Dennings and me COMBINED, and she made the best outfits she had on the show look better. I happily rewarded her with a baguette I bought at the bakery next door to the airport I was earlier in. And then in came the Harry Anderson of the group, who was looking more like Richard Moll because of Ryan Gosling's stupidity. Slowly but surely, I walked up to him and said hello.
"Hi there, I'm Matt. I heard of your essay and I'm pleased to make the acquaintance of the authress of that masterpiece." He said.
"Thank you, Mr. Smith." I said.
And then the reading started and I was intrigued to see it all read out by the actors, then Matt broke down as we got to the end. Steven had to comfort him as he broke into tears, the poor thing. I later offered to buy him lunch when it was all over.
