My night in the Smith house

"Welcome to my childhood." Matt said to me as he walked me into the house. "So, what do you think?" Matt asked as he hobbled into the door, walking up to me.

"I love it. It's just something about the house that makes me feel the same feeling I get when I see "Here's to you, Mrs. Robinson".

"I thought you'd say that." Matt said.

Just then, Matt's mom came in and introduced herself to me.

"You must be Mallory, I'm Lynne, Matt's mum. Matt's told us SO much about you." She said as she shook my hand.

"It's really nice to meet you, Mrs. Smith." I said.

"Please, call me Lynne. And it's a pleasure to meet you too." Lynne said as she told us to follow her into the kitchen. There, she and Matt would talk about how long it's been since Karen was at dinner. Suddenly, Laura and her boyfriend came and he shook hands with me.

"Laura's been telling me about you from what Matt's been telling her. You're a lot of fun, I bet, at parties." her boyfriend said.

"Pay no mind, dear. He likes to tease new women in Matt's life." Laura laughed it off before going to help her father with some cake.

"So, how are you liking this evening so far?" Matt asked with a smile on his face. I couldn't help but gush, because he was doing that wide-jaw thing I love seeing Harry do.

"I'm loving every minute." I said, which made Matt's eyes twinkle as I said that.

The rest of the night was talking, laughing, playing board games, and of course, eating the delicious dinner Lynne and Matt's dad, Dave, planned out. Later, it was time to retire from the whole evening of fun and I said my goodnights to everyone. I opened the car for Matt and opened my own door, which Matt said I didn't need to, but I said I felt semi-responsible for what happened. With that, he smiled at me and kissed my cheek, telling me how much I mean to him. Then I invited him back for coffee.
