What’s with all these poets quoting Greek Gods all the time
and mythology and all that jazz?
Who do they think they are…smart, or inspirational or something?
Does it make them better than I?
A student with growing knowledge
who strains and dries the outer eye
whilst gripping onto rhyme and L’OREAL hair dye
that stains the ear
and can look queer (if not taken off with shampoo).
Will this make me great?
Hades,
Hestia,
Pegasus,
Prometheus.
The beauty of Athena…
