I slowly knocked on the door of the Chen's Noodle House, just to see what Mal, the green haired girl, might do. They freeze as Skylor seems to actually let me in. I immediately repeat the conversation and what they were doing inside my head. To make sure that I know the perfect words to say.

"Hey, Skylor." Mal replied, "It has been such a long time, hasn't it?"

"Phoebe?" Skylor said looking at and seemed to stumble seeing the unexpected face, "What are you doing here?"

"Ugh." Mal replied, "Still unhappy to see me? Protecting our father's heritage? I really thought you were over him when you betrayed him with the ninja. Now, you running his business. Idiotic, Skylor, we are still going to get what we deserve."

Skylor seemed to look at the ground and get ready to punch her in the face. Then she decided on peace, since that is what she decided a long time ago. She has to much dangerous adventures in her life.

"Idiotic?" Skylor said, "Protecting what I love? I love noodles. I am not giving up what I have. I may have the Anacoundrai's tattoo but it doesn't change who I am. I am not my father's pet."

I smile as at the conversation they had before I came in here. Skylor is still fighting her past, isn't she? And her past is much worse then the ninja thought. Mal and Skylor looked at me surprised. Then started a casual conversation like their were best friends.

Their secret is better hidden then them fighting hell out.

"I haven't seen you." I said looking at Mal, "Skylor, sorry for barging in like this. It seems like you were busy."

"No, it is fine, Kai." Skylor said sweetly, "It is always nice to have you here."

I smile at her. Mal seem to back away and sit at a side table. Should I start call Mal by her actual name? Nah, Mal is way better then Phoebe. I look over at Mal and smile at her. She seem to hide behind the menu. Why is Mal acting so weird? Does she want people to believe she is a shy and insecure person. Sorry, Mal, that isn't going to work.

"Kai, is there anything you needed from me." Skylor asked smiling at me.

I acted like I was daydreaming then I said, "Oh! Yeah... I... need some ideas. Do you know a good location to find a person who was kidnapped? Because Lloyd was kidnapped by this illusionist."

"And why the heck are you in this area?" Skylor said laughing just a bit, "You know I can take care of myself."

I nodded like I totally believed then just waited for her to give me a good answer. Mal seemed to give a death glare at Skylor. Does she really think I don't see that? I turn my eye straight at Skylor and gave her an encouraging nod.

Skylor just gives off a strange look. Then she realizes I was watching. I could read it right off her. I just hoped Skylor was on my side. I quickly write something on the menu so she could totally trust me. Please work.

"Lloyd is in your area and he is watching." Skylor said smiling at me as Mal came so close to punch Skylor but I immediately grab her hand.

"You..." Mal growled, "Kai so going to tell everything."

I can't help but chuckle at that. I looked at her purplish gray eyes and replied. "I barely know anything. Do you really think I would betray my friends, Mal?"

"Mal?" Mal replied, "My name is Phoebe!"

"Then you shouldn't dress like Mal from Descendants." I said smiling.

Skylor put some chains on Mal. Then Skylor looked at me and smiled and said, "Thank you."

"Anytime." I replied smiling, "Well, gotta go."

I grab Mal and text the ninja really hoping to get Cole's reply. But Cole doesn't answer. Something is really wrong. I text the ninja to go back to base and I need to do something. I look around the outside the window to see if Lloyd is there.

I can't see him. Gosh, the illusionist made him look like something else. Come on, Kai. We need Lloyd, right now. I felt Feu, the wolf, nuzzle my arm. Mal looked at me. I wonder what elemental power she has.

"Come alive." I said looking at Lloyd and can't believe what the illusionist make him look like.

I can't help but laugh, well, come alive, Lloyd.
