*Reinhardt's POV*

I stared at the two in front of me. She was here, here with us. No matter how good it is to have her here, (y/n) can get killed at any moment. I told Reyes to keep her with him on their mission. This is no place for a woman like her. It never will be.

Yet, she makes me feel all better no matter the situation. The way her (h/c) hair falls down against her body, just the way she walks makes me feel warmer.

-"Reinhardt!" (Y/n) shot up from the chair in one quick movement, her eyes glued on me. Her mouth turned into a smile, and I soon found myself hugged tightly by her. "It's been so long! I've missed you."

I didn't reply to her. I just remained silent, looking at her. When she noticed that I would not reply to her, she let go of me.
-"What's wrong?" She asked, her face falling stern.

-"I told you not to follow me out here," I replied sternly, moving my gaze away from her eyes. The sun had fallen, it was getting dark. The Omnics may return soon. They can be right outside the border for everything we know.

-"I want to help you. Eichenwalde was recently just lost, wasn't it? Let me help you protect this city, Reinhardt," (y/n) said back, her eyes sharp and strong as always.

I let out a sigh, shaking my head. I lifted my hand, grabbing her (h/c) hair softly, touching her cheek with my thumb.

-"I've just lost my home. I can't loose you either," I whispered, shaking my head before letting out a sigh.

Losing Eichenwalde took a heavy loss on me, it did. But (y/n) managed to get out alive, and so did I. The fact that we both survived the Omnic attack, it's surprising. If I drag (y/n) with me into a new battle, then she might not make it out alive. Not at this time. She has just recovered from that sickness she had. Reyes didn't mention a lot, only that she laid in bed for a week straight.

*(Y/n)'s POV*

I scoffed, feeling his soft hand against my cheek. I closed my eyes, the hair on my body rising. His touch has always been special, almost magical for me.

-"I promise you, you will not loose me. If you lend me my armor once more, we both will survive this. Reinhardt, let's do this!" I said, raising my voice a little.

What is it that he does not understand? All I want is for Reinhardt to understand that I wont leave him alone. I don't want to risk losing him, I can't. I left him alone when Eichenwalde fell, and that was my biggest mistake.

I should have been there in the front lines with him and his friends. If I was there with him, then perhaps something else would have happened to his home. Maybe he would still have lived there.

The door to our right opened, a man bashing inside, taking heavy breaths as he stopped in his track. His eyes were round, panicked, telling me that there wasn't time for Reinhardt to decide whether I would fight or not.

-"Wilhelm, they're here!" He shouted out, leaning on the wall for support, taking short and even breaths.

-"Okay, but don't you dare take the front lines," Reinhardt whispered towards me before turning around.

I followed after Reinhardt, smiling for myself. The front line is mine, and he knows it - we both do. My armor is perfectly built for it. The shield and armor is stronger than his.
-"Did you hear me?" Reinhardt asked as he opened the door to the armor room. I scoffed, jogging to my armor.

It was laying flat on the ground, dust covering its (f/c) shining metal.
-"I will do what is necessary for us to protect this town," I simply replied as I bent my knees, looking at the armor. It still had the old battle scars from when Eichenwalde fell. The scars and dents, the bruising. I smiled as I grabbed it.
