The Mermaid & The Shark

~Chapter 1~

LUCY'S P.O.V

I just woke up. In my bed. I went to my mirror, my hair was a huge mess. I got it up in a side pony tail. I was tired from the night before. My guard kept on waking me up. She is lit though. Today marks the 50 year anniversary of my grandmas death. My grandmother flowed into the sea in foam. Us mermaids live for a long time but when we die we turn into sea foam. The sharks live as long as we do but they have a soul that will live forever in the sea. I planned to seek out. But that will have to wait. Today was the royal dinner for all the pop stars in Mariana.

After my grand mother died my mother decided to rename the kingdom after her. I looked at the time. I slept late and I mean late. It was 4:00 that meant I had three hours to get ready. I didn't want to, but I had too. I swam to my shell bra door. Yes we don't have just one pair of bra's they get dirty too. I took out my white shell bra. I made my sky blue tail have some stuff on it like jewels and jems. I put my hair up in a side pony tail that went all the way down to the middle of my tail. I put a bow on where the tie was. It was white and blue with black outlines, it was my favorite. I put on my head phones and started to listen to music while writing in my dairy.

Dear Diary, March 18, X784

I know I usually in you at night but I won't have time so I'll do it know. I got up like 2 hours and 30 min. ago because my guard Asuna really knows how to get my annoyed. I have a big dinner in like 15 min. Anyways have you ever wondered what it feels like to feel love. I mean I feel love from my mom and sister, I mean the other type of love. Like between a girl and a boy. I had a few crushes here and there in fish school. But I either got rejected or they turned out to be jerks. When I was young I remember my mom taking me out for the first time. I remember only getting out a few feet then my mother pulled me back in. Before I came back in to safety though I saw a figure that looked like a merman but had a fin on his or her back he looked kind of my age. That's all I can recall from that day. I never been outside into the ocean, except if you count that time. The only place I known was Mariana. I almost forgot while writing this I have a dinner. It's 6:58 I have to go now. Until I write you again diary.

I closed it and was about to leave but then I remembered to put something else. I looked where my diary sat and saw my mothers shark tooth necklace. I quickly put it on and swam as fast as I could to the dinning room. Luckily when I got there my favorite pop stars wasn't there. I would've been so embarrassed for getting there late. I took my seat. When I did she came through the doors.

IT'S THEM, BTS! I can't believe they came. I know all there songs. My personal favorite is DNA. I mean they are the best K-pop and boy band in the whole ocean. There songs Not Today, Save Me, Dope, Blood Sweat Tears, and Fire are a few of my favorite songs by them. I know all there dances. Whenever I hear one of there voices my heart sours. V is my favorite member next to Suga and Jimin. "Why hello there princess." V said winking at me. AHHHH! I was about to die from fangirlism. I mean my pop ideal just said hi.

Ok Lucy get yourself together your mom is about to tell us why we are here. I calmed myself down to hear what she had to say.

"I have gathered you all here today to discuss about my daughter becoming queen" WAIT WHAT?! My MOTHER NEVER TOLD ME I WAS BECOMING QUEEN SO SOON. I zoned out from the shock and didn't hear what else she said. Until when I finally snapped out of it. "Well it is because I'm afraid she is getting hunted by The Sharks."

"WAIT WHAT?!" I yell out and everyone looked at me. "Sorry but you just said I was being hunted by the sharks. Mother why didn't you tell me earlier. Now I' scared and mad at you." I put my head down on the table.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. I didn't know until today. When I went out of the kingdom I saw a couple of sharks in the distance. I used my power to hear what they were saying. One of them said 'Let's report to the king that the princess had been located? Maybe if we catch her before anyone else we get a pay raise.' The other nodded and they left. I'm scared for you Lucy. Anyways I need you to keep watch from behind the barrier. I'll tell Asuna to keep an extra eye on Lucy. Lucy why don't you dine in on your food it's your favorite spaghetti." Ooooo. Yummy. I dove in but ate with manners. After I was done I asked if I could go back to my room. "Sure goodnight baby girl." I rolled my eyes and left the room.

I'm thinking about seeing the outside world of the ocean but I can't unless I have a sea crystal. I don't have one since I'm not the biological royal family member so I don't get my own. My sister, Yukino, does though. I could ask her. I went to her room. "Hey Sis, how ya doing?"

"I know you want something say it." She said. Wow, she really knows me.

"Can I use your sea crystal?"

"Lucy you know you can't go out of the kingdom."

I know but I want to see the outside world."

"And get another scar like your one that looks like a key. No way."

"Please Asuna will go with me."

"I know I'm going to get in trouble for doing this but sure. But I have to watch you."

"Thanks a lot."

I went back into my room. I couldn't wait to see the outside world. I might even see that guy or girl I saw when I was young. Can't wait.
