A Point of No Return

I should go back now.

There weren't many "zombies" I encoutered earlier. I think it'd be fine if I run. I turned around and started running, not stopping for anything. Since this school only has three floors, I quickly reached the lower floors but as I turned one of the knives flew. The knife flying towards my face made me stop and I blocked the knife with my arm. Ahhh shit, it sliced through my flesh then fell to the ground but a large amount of blood is already spilling. Fuck! this hurts, why didn't I just dodge it?! Just when I thought it would be safe...

I grabbed everything and continued, walking this time. I reached the first floor and knocked on the nurse's office.

"Guys, it's me! Open the door, I'm bleeding." I heard people talking inside but it's too muffled to understand.

The door quickly opened and an arm suddenly grabbed me to get inside. A sharp pain went through my entire arm.

"Ahhh! That hurts, why'd you have to grab that arm?!"

Shock filled Jihoon face and it quickly turned into regret. "Holy shit, I'm sorry! I'm really sorry, are you okay?"

"Ughh, yeah I'm fine. Just get this fixed by the nurse please..." I sat down, finally feeling exhausted.

"What happened to your arm? It looks like it's been sliced!" The nurse said as she examined my arm. Wait, what's her name? All this time I've just been calling her "the nurse".

"Nurse, what was your name again?"

"Ahh... It's Ji soo." She looked shocked. Did no one ever bother to ask her name before...?

"The wound is big I'll need to sew this." She stood up to get something from a couple of cabinets.

"Jihoon, any news?" Has it been thirty minutes already? If so his driver should've been here by now. Then again we don't really know what's happening outside. It might be even worse than we expected.

"He said he should get here in ten minutes. It shouldn't take long..." He looks worried and unsure, I shouldn't make him worry more. I looked to my right to see Ara sleeping next to Mi jin. She still hasn't woken up, huh? I hope she's okay...

"What happened to your arm anyway?" Jihoon asked, looking concerned. I don't want to worry him more but I don't want to lie to him either...

"Ahaha, as I was running down the stairs one of the knives flew towards my face so I blocked it with my arm." I laughed trying to brush it off.

"Hey, you should be more careful! Next time, I'm coming with you and you're not stopping me." Jihoon looks determined, that's good.

"Aye, aye, Captain!" I laughed heartily, trying to lighten the mood.

Ji soo finally came back with some stuff. She took my arm and sewed up the wound. She doesn't have any anesthesia around and my arm hurts like hell. I tightened my fists and grunted at the pain, man, I don't want to experience this again. I really should be more careful.

She quickly finished and bandaged it up. "If you want to recover fast you shouldn't move your arm so much or the stitches might open." I nodded.

"Mi jin's still not awake? Did something bad happen?"

"No, I don't think so." Ji soo answered.

"There weren't anything wrong when I checked, I think she was just shocked." She added. A sigh of relief escaped my lips, thank God she's okay. But she looks really pale and when I carried her earlier she was ice cold. Stop it, Guan lin! Ji soo already said that she's fine, there's no need to worry anymore. I wonder when she'll wake up though.

"Guys!" I jumped at the sudden sound. What the hell Jihoon?! Why do you gotta yell?

"Ahehe sorry..." He held up a peace sign when he noticed me glaring at him.

"What is it?" I asked.

"My driver's arrived! We can go now."

"That's good! Just arm yourselves with the knives I brought and I'll carry Mi jin." Huhh, I just hope the outside isn't a wreck. If that's the case, how will I make it through while carrying Mi jin?

"You can't do that! Your arm's wounded, you can't carry her. You'll only hurt yourself!"

"It's not like I can fight with a wound either. Besides I'm exhausted, I'd rather take my time carrying her than fight my way through."

"Ughh, fine. You won't give up anyway."

"But how will you protect yourself?" Ji soo asked.

"Well... You guys will have to do that."

"Alright we'll just have to stay close together then." She nodded but it's obvious in her eyes that she doesn't approve of this.

But we've got no other choice.

Jihoon walked towards Ara, shaking her awake. "Hey sleepyhead, wake up already! We don't have all day."

"Ug-ughh what?" Oh she's angry alright.

"Get up, stupid. My driver's arrived, we can get the hell out of here." Man, how will we stay together if they can't get along? Things will be such a pain if this continues.

"Alright, alright, I'm up." Her eyes widened when she spotted me... Even though I'm just beside her...

"You came back!" Her eyes shined and her angry demeanour earlier now gone.

"Heh, I wouldn't die that easily."

"Oh but how can we go? Mi jin's still not awake..." She looked over to Mi jin. She's really looks worried, she's a good friend.

"I'll carry her again."

"Can't we just... I don't know, wake her up?" Huh, I didn't think of that.

"No, I don't think that's a good idea." Ji soo said with a demanding glare. That option's out of the question, I guess.

"What are we waiting for? Let's get going!" I stood up from my seat and went to Mi jin. Jihoon grabbed a knife and the others followed.

I know she just passed out but... Her pale skin, her barely noticable breathing, and the peaceful look on her face makes her look... Dead.

I shook my head, brushing the tought off. I put my hands on her and picked her up. Ahhh! The weight on my arm feels like it's crushing me! Ugh, no I have to do this. No matter what!

Jihoon first went out the door and we followed. "Clean, huh?"

"I did a good, damn job." They don't need to know. We continued moving forward with them circling around me. We continued moving at a steady pace and we eventually reached the front gate. Jihoon reached for the handle but before he turns it he stopped to say something.

"We don't know outside's condition. This is a point of no return."

My mc's been sleeping for so many chapters now I'm begging to think she's dead lol😂
