There she was, again at her doorstep, taunting me.
Those beautiful blonde locks of your with those mesmerizing brown eyes.
She had a schedule because that's just the Emmy I know, always has to have her life together.
You get the paper for your parents and soon after leave, you come back at six pm and stay in the house. Where is it that you go, Emmy? The library? It pains me to say this but your boyfriend's house?
That Tommy of yours sure did a number on you after you came back home from college. He changed you, the sweet caring girl I use to know is no more.
"Mom I'll be back later!" I hear her say through my window.
Her mother's response was to quiet to tell and Emily would have still gone if her mother said no.
I let a sigh escape my lips as I play with the plastic covering the roses in my hands.
"Today is the day, I'm going to do it."
"Do what? Get laid for the first time since Emmy?"
My jaw clenches as I turn and look at the red head behind me "Shut your mouth, Derek!"
A smirk crosses his lips as he leans on the wall putting one foot over another "Its about time dude, how long were you going to wait."
"It's not easy okay after—after everything that happened."
The smirk falls as he walks towards me "I know, just do it she won't stay with that delinquent if you come back."
I nodded looking down at the dark red roses "I just always wondered why she chose him, you know?"
He grabs the small card from the table "We all have a way of dealing with things, but just to be sure ask her."
He hands me the small card taking the flowers from my hands.
"I guess I will but not right away."
He rolls his green eyes "Dude! Time is money."
I mimic his actions forcefully grabbing the flowers from his hands and setting them down "Dude it's time for you to go!"
He says some words under his breath and walks out the door.
"Alone at last."
A heavy sigh leaves my lips. What the hell am I going to say to her 'Hey remember me? Your first love and your first of everything?' 'Hey, it's me, Daniel, Welcome to your ta-'
I need to stop.I run my hand through my ginger hair a couple of times and finally put the paper to use.I will talk to you one way or another Emmy.
