With a smile, Daniel fixes his hair grabbing the white lilies.

He was happy. They were happy. He got a chance again, he wasn't going to fuck it up this time.

Setting his hands on the wooden door he takes a step back waiting.

"Daniel, come in Emmys going to be downright."

With a nod, he walks past Nick.

"You know Daniel, to be honest, I didn't think I would see you around again."

Letting out an airy laugh Daniel smiles at him "Yeah, but here I am."

"Here you are." Nick hesitantly speaks again "Just make sure you don't make the same mistake Daniel, I do like you but if you hurt her again I don't think you would want to step foot back here."

Nervously Daniel nods "Dad stop interrogating him."

Emily walks down the stairs with her black dress following her.

With wide eyes, Daniel takes her hand and gives her the bouquet "I-uh-I got you some flowers."

Nodding she hands them to Nick to put in the vase "I see."

Smiling she drags Daniel to door in a hurry to go out "See you guys later."

Barely having time to say goodbye to her little brothers they get into Daniels car and go to the restaurant.

Daniel was nervous. Sweaty hands on the wheel glancing at her every few seconds. She was beautiful even more beautiful than he remembered.

Her blonde hair at her waist curled with that black dress. He didn't know if he could restrain himself from exploring her like he once did.

"Daniel?"

Blinking he looks over at her "Yeah?"

"I've been calling you for the last two minutes, anyways I was asking where were we going."

Smiling he turns the corner "Somewhere."

Rolling her dark brown eyes she looks out the window.

As they parked a gasp came out of Emily "You brought me here!"

Laughing Daniel slowly, hesitantly, grabbed her hand taking her into the restaurant "You told me you have been wanting to come—before you know."

Nodding she smiles at him "Thank you."

"No problem."

As the night went on Daniel knew this was the women he was set for life with. It has always been the girl next door.

Emily knew she needed him as much as he needed her. She knew she needed to get over what happened in their past because this is now.
