N e w B e g i n n i n g s

With shaky hands, Emily sits across from Daniel picking at her nail polish. A habit she picked up from her mother.

Daniel is the first to break the silence in the air with a clearing of his throat "Th-thank you for coming."

With a nod she purses her lips looking around the shop. She turns back to the green orbs as he speaks again "I wanted to talk to you."

"About." She pushes. She was only here for one reason. She wanted to know why he did it. Why did he want to hurt her?

Thinking about it makes Emily tighten her grip on her nail with her jaw clenching. She wanted to know the answer but at the same time, she didn't. She was scared. She didn't want to be hurt again.

"Us. Everything that happened-" Before he can finish Emily interrupts his rambling.

"Why did you do it?" Exactly knowing what she meant he put his head down in shame.

"We-I" Stumbling upon his words Emily asked another question making his heart stop.

"Was it the first time when I caught you guys."

With wide eyes he stares into her brown orbs "It was the first time, I was drunk. She came to my office with wine and-one thing lead to the next. I thought it was you, Emmy. Until you came into the office." With Burning eyes, he looks away.

"Danie-"

Shaking his head he replies "It's no excuse I know, but I need you, Emmy. I know you need me to. So come back to me, we can fix everything."

Shocked Emily stares back at the boy she loved since she was a kid. Her first of everything, she couldn't just throw it away, she didn't want to.

"But-but our baby." Whimpering she looks down hearing the screech of his chair.

Hugging her while whispering into her ear Daniel lets out some tears. It was his fault their first baby was gone. He knew and he needed her so he can have at least half of his heart fixed.

"I know baby, and I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry."

Sobbing the ex-lovers hold each other in the silent cafe as if they were still one.
